Bottle. Pale yellow with small white head. Aroma quite weak malt and caramel maybe a little earth. Taste sweet malts, very soft and mellow, a little grassy. I don´t know much about this style, but people are probably right, when they say they shall be drunk in Köln.

An ale in theory but a lager at heart. 0,33 cl bottle MHB: 14.09.11. It pours a clear and bright gold with a foamy but frothy bright white head. It leaves little bit of small speckles behind. The smell is grainy with a light bit of light fruit and a kiss of hops. The flavor is interesting. It has a unique fruitiness that i haven’t yet tasted in this style. It is like white wine/grapes almost. It has a slight bit of hops, but the main flavor is an overriding fruity sweetness. The mouthfeel is not as light as expected, it is under-carbonated. It is an interesting beer, at least it isn’t monotonous. Don’t be araid of this style, it isn’t that bad.

Straw yellow, small but firm white head. Aroma is quite sweet, malt tones and light notes of hops. Taste is rather sweet, malts, notes of corn, bit grassy. Only very light hops. Mild and drinkable, nothing really exciting. (from 0,5L bottle)

Yellow with a big white head. Clean bready with a slight fruitiness and some flowery hops. Dry with a medium bitter finish. Would do well as a thirst-quencher in summer time.

Draught, Everyman, Liverpool. Bottle. Pallid gold with a fading white head. Lacking in aroma and flavour for that matter. Cleanish, watery palate. Short lived bitterness in the finish. Drab is the word.

Old Rating. Had this beer on tap at the brewhouse in Koln. Served cool in traditional stange glass. Had a bright white cap head and a light golden color. Light floral aroma and some sweet grain in the nose. Tasted sweet, some floral hop, and a cereal grain finish. Mouthfeel was light. Very enjoyable and highly drinkable but not breaking into the best of the best for Kolsch. I would drink this beer again.
