Bottled in Devonshire Cat, Sheffield on 13/8/10. Clean tasting golden kolsch. Wheat in the palate. Easy drinking beer and enjoyable but nothing special in my opinion.

Light yellow beer with medium and white head. Aroma is pure malty, grass, some aromatic ja fruitfull hops with hint of strawberries. Flavour is malty, slightly aromatic, pure, nice bitter and long maltyness in the end. Medium palate with quite high carbonation, nicely to drink. Refreshning, simple, but sufficiently aromatic beer that can be enjoyed easily.

500 ml bottle in Germany. Is a light golden color, with a full white head. Aroma is a deep malt. Taste is a light almost ginger like in standing. Palate is weak but non-offensive. Not a bad Kölsch.

Tragically pale. Bland lagery aroma. Fizzy carbonation, watery palate. Retronasals quite estery, and a little bitter. Simple hoppy lager taste, fairly clean. Hoppy finish is a bit papery, and has some pencil sharpennings. There’s nothing special about this - this is just lager brewed with an odd yeast.

Fruitier aroma, does actually say kolsch this time. Similar taste. Nicely bitter, but a bit papery. Watery. Better-ish.

[500ml bottle from Beers of Europe] My first kolsch. Gold, visibly fizzy, large white head. Grassy lager hops dominate the otherwise rather bland flavour. Soft creamy mouthfeel. OK I guess.

.5 liter bottle. Pours a light golden with a medium white head- some lace clear and moderate carbonation. Aroma is grassy herbal with mineral, crackery malts, light pils, mostly fresh overall with some hay as well. Flavor is light toast, light pils malt, grassy with light herbal hops, green and vegetal bitterness in the back of the throat, and a bit prickly- almost too clean and refined no soft pils malts or light wisp of ester- just cracker and light toast and light herbal hops. Easy drinking but a bit mineraly and grassy.
