Half litre bottle, poured into a pint glass. Pale colour, one finger head which was quick to disappear, kept some lacing, clear. Aroma was Chardonay and vanilla. Tasted cranberry, Chardonay, vanilla and yeast. Finish was delayed and wheaty. Crisp texture, well carbonated which gave it a slightly coarse edge. Enjoyable beer, made me want to explore the style further, bit of a palate changer.

500 ml bottle, about 6 months old. Pours like you’d hope, clear yellow with white head. Nose is cereal, almost no hops (freshness coming into play?) and not much else to speak of. Taste is similar with some light banana notes. Dry finish. It’s OK.

Aug ’14. A 0.5 l can from a duty-free at Cologne airport. It poured pale golden body with medium sized head. Fine oily lemon aroma that reveal its ale character along with the fruity malt. Flavor was lightly sweet honey and apricot, also herbal bitter with subtle malty flavors but quite fine. Medium bodied. Pleasant and decent Kolsch.

ENG: 330ml bottle from DeVine store @ 104th St, Edmonton. Poured into the glass. Very light - straw and clean in color, almost no head. Aromas and taste are quite similar, and both are sweet-champagne-like, bit fruity. Very mild bitterness, very easy drinking. Good refresher. ///~~~///!///~~~/// ///~~~///!///~~~/// PL: Butelka 330ml kupiona w sklepie DeVine w Edmonton. Przelana do szkła.

@ Havregatan 150105. Bottle (500 ml) from Systembolaget. Sweet and malty with fruity notes, hay/grass, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, bitter, sweet and grassy.

Currently available on tap at the Transport Hotel, Federation Square, Melbourne. Of course it doesn't taste or smell like a freshly opened barrel of Fruh Kolsch in Cologne (much of the subtle esters are lost) but it is still pretty smooth and pleasantly sweet and makes a a good Summer quaffer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,33l bottle. Of all the Kolsch beer this is one of the better ones! More flavour and better aftertaste than a Gaffel of Peters Kolsch
