16.9 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a pale straw color with excellent clarity. About one finger of a creamy white head is formed with okay retention. Soft waves of lacing are left down the glass. S: Lots of earthy, mildly sulfur-y German hops make themselves known initially. Some cereal grains and faint touches of fruit esters round out the decent aroma nicely. T: Now this is more like it. A combination of cereal grains and noble hops open the brew nicely, with both notes bleeding into the crisp, dry finish. What makes this one rock-solid is its prevalent stone fruit esters that help (superbly) balance the adjunct sweetness and mild hops. M: Like I said, it’s crisp and dry with very little lingering sweetness - but plenty of lingering fruit flavors. Carbonation is good without being overbearing, also. While it’s quite drinkable, I find the flavor profile too enjoyable to chug it down quick. O: Truth be told, I really enjoy a good kolsch - and this is definitely a very good, even great, example of an (underappreciated) style. And it’s cheap, to boot!

Tallahassee, Fl. - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 500 ml bottle Pours a sparkling light-medium with an initial bubbly white head that settles and fades. Aroma has some grassy notes, a hint of spiciness. Flavor is crisp and clean with some light saffron-like spice, some underlying buttery notes and a hint of yeast. Mouthfeel has just the rigth amount of spritziness. Not great any in one particular area, but overall an excellent Kölsch

Flaska från Systembolaget. Klar guldfärgad vätska med vitt skum. Kan inte sätta fingret på vad det smakar mer än riktigt god öl. Som en standard eurolager fast godare.

ninecats (101) - Uddevalla, SWEDEN - JUL 4, 2014
Crystal clear yellow with a massive, slightly lacing, white foam. Aroma is discreet, some grass, pale malt and citrus. Taste is white bread, european bitter hops, citrus and grass. Quite bigger body than expected, medium plus, average to agressive carbo, dry and smooth texture. Quite good, a small beer but with some characteristics that distinguishes it from a bland lager.

Flaska från systemet - extremt ljus, kristallklar. Doftar lite unket tydlig men behaglig beska. Ljus lager... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Soft, sweetish malt aroma. Snowy head, clear bright, light blonde. Solid bottle and label. Light bittering, buttery mouthfeel. Malt gets a bit clingy over time. Medium duration finish - German hops come through. Decent enough on a 100º day in Florida. ABC Liquors, Betton.

50cl pour at Dacha Beer Garden in DC. Pours a clear gold with some white head that faded quick. Nose has sugar, malt, some grass, some lemon, some straw. Flavor has some malt, some cracker, metal too, a little perfume. Watery finish.
