16.9 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a pale straw color with excellent clarity. About one finger of a creamy white head is formed with okay retention. Soft waves of lacing are left down the glass. S: Lots of earthy, mildly sulfur-y German hops make themselves known initially. Some cereal grains and faint touches of fruit esters round out the decent aroma nicely. T: Now this is more like it. A combination of cereal grains and noble hops open the brew nicely, with both notes bleeding into the crisp, dry finish. What makes this one rock-solid is its prevalent stone fruit esters that help (superbly) balance the adjunct sweetness and mild hops. M: Like I said, it’s crisp and dry with very little lingering sweetness - but plenty of lingering fruit flavors. Carbonation is good without being overbearing, also. While it’s quite drinkable, I find the flavor profile too enjoyable to chug it down quick. O: Truth be told, I really enjoy a good kolsch - and this is definitely a very good, even great, example of an (underappreciated) style. And it’s cheap, to boot!

Bottle. Pours as a picture-book beer; perfect white medium-grained head, perfect gold coloration, gorgeous carbonation. Looks like concept art for a beer rather than a beer itself. Nose is apple, flaked grain, dust, earth, dried marjoram, lemon, and barley candy. Sweet and lemony up front, with a slightly minty edge; crisp biscuity malt afterwards, with a toasted cereal overtone. Good malt; it stays right where it needs to be. Excellent effervescence and a clean, herbal finish. Damn good beer.

Rating #2218 - 2015.12.04 - Sample @7Degrees Beer School. Pours a clear straw yellow with a bubbly white cap. Medium carbonation, low alcohol warmth. Mouthfeel is crisp, clean, very light. Light spiciness from hops on palate. Refreshing.

Bottle. Clear golden without head. Aroma is used rubber gum, some fruits and ash. High amount of tartness, more ash. Same in the finish. Undrinkable. I hate it.

Puszka 0,5. Aromat słodowo-... aluminiowy, bo tak dawało opakowaniem. W smaku niezbyt przyjemny posmak metalowy, który zostaje w smaku, taki niemiecki średniak który przypominał mi typowego lagera.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2016 From estucerveza. In Bavaria glass. Watching soccer match Spain vs Lichenstein (8-0) Ultradrinkable, with a pleasantly soft malty backbone with a good grassy hop bite. The best kolsch Ive drank with difference

Clear lightest yellow gold with soapy head. A: fresh and crisp malty character, citrus note, lightest wood note, grassy. T: taste is quite thin but refreshing. Maltiness develops alongside bitterness, again some grassy floral notes. Subsequent sips have a sweeter character. Nice deep lager bitterness in the finish.

Bottle: The aroma consists of mild bread, grass, fruit, and faint apple. It pours a transparent gold with a small white head that settles to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is minimal lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with mild bread with some faint fruit. The finish has light grass, straw, and a hint of apple skins. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation.
