Bottle from CBB. Aroma: Floral, dried lemon. lemon zest, light grain in the background. Flavor: Lemon and grain with light, understated bittering. Finishes with lingering light grain and hop bittering. Comment: Good, low alcohol drink; refreshing in summer.

Bottled at Beer Fes Osaka 2015. This is like a lemon soda with hard lemon sour candies thrown into it. Sweet lemonade, not much beer, barely ok as a soda.

Bottle at the GJBF Osaka 2015. Fruh Radler Super light gold with a candyish lemon nose. Crazily sweet lemon flavor, more soft drink than beer but not terrible.

At brewery. Ordered to get rate tick, but now that I have will not do again. Pale yellow, short lasting foam. Lemon dominated taste. (Cologne 201506)

Bottle bought at trinkgut in Münster. The beer has got a light yellow-golden colour with a low head and medium to thin body. Aroma of lemonade and mild beer. Taste of fresh lemonade, mild beer, mild hops. Refreshing and easy drinkable.

I quite like Fruh Kolsch, but what ever it may have going for it, this doesn’t. Pure lemon soda with nary a hint of the original beer.

Blasse goldgelbes Farbe, geringe weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht fruchitg süß, Zitrone. Geschmack ausschließlich nach Zitronenlimonade, kein Geschmack nach Bier.

Bottle. APPEARANCE: very clear blond beer, small stable white head. NOSE: lemon, fresh, where is the beer? TASTE: little watery, very refreshing though. Boring ’beer’ since it’s mostly lemon. But did somewhat enjoy it since it was very very hot that day!

Bottle at Früh am Dom. Clear ultra pale yellow pour with white head. Aroma is a lemon bomb, smells just like lemonade, no beer character. Taste is much the same, lightly sweetened lemon juice with nice refreshing carbonation. This was my introduction to German radlers, and I must admit I didn’t find it bad (but then again, I don’t find Belgian sweetened lambics bad either) The two products are just pretty far away from beer, but I’d take this over soda anyday.
