COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Frydenlund Julebayer is a reddish and aromatic beer with a characteristic rich and mellow flavour, and is used as an ingredient in, as well as an accompaniment with Christmas foods. It is brewed with Frydenlund's unique yeast and lots of Munich dunkel malts and caramel malts, which give this brew the sweetish powerful flavour beer connoiseurs appreciate.

Medium brown colour, moderate head, typical Munich dunkel malty and slightly spicy aroma, well balanced malty flavour, very close to the ordinary Frydenlund Bayer. Pleasant aftertaste. Very good for a "klasse D" (low ABV) beer. (Frydenlund was Ringnes’ Oslo competitor, which they bought and closed about 15 years ago. At least they kept the recipes and the yeast - this is one of the beers that Ringnes now brew under the Frydenlund label.)

Aroma of caramel, roasty, coffee, barnyard and sweet malts. Very nice balanced flavours. Brown colour with a slightly brown head. Great christmas beer, even though it’s only 4,7 %.

330 ml bottle. Clear, amber body with a medium off-white head. Aroma is quite distinct malty. Flavor is malty with some caramel and a light bitterness. Relatively thin body, closer to a lager than the traditional Norwegian Christmas beer.
