Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized yellowish beige foamy head. Aroma is ryebready, malty, a bit caramel and quite sugary sweet. Flavour is ryebread, mild toasted notes as well as some mild hoppyness. Would probably fit in well with a Nordic Xmas food table, but being a bit too sweet to be enjoyed by itself.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 yngwie (9201) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 5, 2009
Bottle. It pours a dark amber body, clear, and topped by a small beige head. Dried fruits, caramel, nut-notes on the nice side of the aroma, wet cardboard and cooked corn on the bad side. Fortunately the good side wins, but the bad is still disturbing. Both aroma and flavor are quite weak, and the mouthfeel is medium-bodied, smooth and silky. Some thoughts of chocolate chips cookies comes to my mind when tasting it, as well as nuts and a little hint of dried fruits and caramel. The touch of cooked corn and wet cardboard found in the nose are present in the mouth too. A little touch of hops are let loose towards the end, but just enough to prevent it from being all sweet. There’s some bad things to be said about this one, but the good things are overpowering them. Still, it’s nothing more than a decent supermarket strength Christmas beer. One of the better ones though, with good drinkability and it will probably find it’s way to my Christmas brunch table. 091105

Courtesy of Yngwie, thanks my friend. It’s dark mahogany with a huge, creamy head, and the aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel and light syrup. The sweet flavour has notes of caramel, light syrup, bread and biscuits, and the finish is dry.
