Can at the courtesy of Rune. Low fluffy and quickly disappearing light brown head. Beautifyl clear dark ruby body. Sweet aroma of caramel cinnamon raisin and oranges. Roasted barley malt flavor with caramel cinnamon raisin and oranges. Low carbonation, long sweet aftertaste. Surprisingly good.

Black Gold to amber in color with low foam. Scent of dried fruit and hints of blackberry. Lightweight, low bitterness and medium length. Full sweet flavor with hints of malt, yet harmonious.

UPDATED: FEB 29, 2012 Bottle. Brown colour with a light beige head. Caramel flavour like a normal vienna beer, nothing to do with christmas beer.

Can in Oslo. Dark amber body with medium head. Sweet, roasty nose. Taste of caramel, malts, sugar. Pretty sweet and caramel syrupy. Nice for the holidays this Vienna.

Ruby colour, at first a large beige head, it collapses quickly. There’s a huge caramel aroma, malts is plentiful as well. Little to balance the sweetness. (Can)

Can poured into a glass at home
Dark copper, big tanned head. Smells of caramel, roasted malts and some flowers. Malty body, tons of sweetness, on the border to be direct sweet. Thin on the palate, malt bitter finish.

Medium brown body with a very short-lived, off-white head, little lacing. Malty aroma, but there are also some faint citric notes. Unpleasant hints of overripe fruits and berries. Medium to heavy sweet taste with a light but high quality bitter finish without any traces of metal. Very fruity and sweet flavours with caramel and malt extract. Refreshing fruity notes of grapefruit and peaches are nice contributions to this very, very sweet beer. Light to medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation. The fruity notes freshen things up a bit, but can’t prevent an almost cloyingly sweet feeling when the can is nearing empty.

Can. Dark amber colour with fast disappearing head. Watery caramel sweetness with hints of dried fruits. Low bitterness.

A very ordinary xmas beer. The head is small and disappears fast, dark amber colour. Hints of spices in the aroma, slightly metallic as well. Very light palate. The taste is not very different from a lager, some spices and hints of sweet malts, but hardly noticeable. Not recommended.

2011. This beer leaves no foam, just a small ring of bubbles. Color is dark amber/red. Looks tempting. Aromas of dried fruit and honey and spices. Tastes a lot of honey, which takes up almost all of the flavors. comfortable malt sweetness. low to medium bitterness with a medium body. It’s a good average christmas lager, nothing more or less.
