Dr_Funk (56), Sorumsand, Norway Jul 3, 2008 On tap at balsam Cocktail Lounge, Oslo.
Pours clear golden with thick white head.
Well balanced hops and refreshing maltiness. On of the better norwegian pilsners Ole_R (1127), Oslo, Norway Jan 9, 2007 On tap @ Justisen, Oslo. The bottle version has been available for 149 years so far. Now sadly retired. The owners (Carlsberg) have replaced Frydenlund Pilsener in the stores with their poor canned Norwegian version of Grøn Tuborg. Shame on them! Frydenlund Pilsener is fortunatly still available (for a while) on tap in some Oslo pubs. Pours clear pale golden. Dense, mostly lasting white head. Nice lacing. Slight hoppy aroma, also sweetish grain and yeast. Weak, but well rounded malt flavors. Medium body. Short bitter/sweet finish. martinboer (1297), Amsterdam, Netherlands Dec 30, 2006 On tap at Burum’s Oslo. A refreshing pilsener. Sweet, hoppy and charamel taste. Bitter finish. stouby (1408), Holbaek, Denmark Sep 4, 2006 Can at Tjøme.
Golden with a white head. Aroma moderate malty and hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Light/medium body, soft carbonated. Very drinkable, but not a great experience. Storm (2677), Amager, Denmark May 15, 2006 33 cl bottle. Golden clear colour with a nice white head. Light aroma of sweetness from the malt. Sweet flavour of a touch of hops and caramel, someway dull and uninteresting.
