Golden yellow, creamy foam, light yeasty flavor--helps to drink it on the docks in Norway!

The jokers here have no idea what a good beer is. This is a very tastefull pilsner with a real beer taste. This is a light beer but it contains a dark taste. No problem to drink twelve of theeeeese :) :)

Ringnes can't really make any worthwhile beer (apart from strong christmas beers, they are excellent!) in my oppinion. They know how to buy up and destroy other breweries (Schous) and in turn be taken over by slightly more "evil" Carlsberg (ok, I joke a bit but, you get my meaning). They took over Frydenlund and raced that tradition off the Oslo map, but unlike the other Oslo rival Schous, they claim to have kept the Frydenlund yeast, and that is why this (and fatøl) still exisits. In my oppinion Norways finest macro pilsner is Frydenlund, be it in a can or on draft. I will gladly go to a different place when I go out to drink "normal" beer, in order to get Frydenlund. Well, anything to avoid drinking Bergens Hansa in Oslo really. Too bad it's not a proper brewery anymore, but it could have been worse (Schous).

God lukt. Smaker godt og fyller munnen med god smak. Lett å drikke, og den metter godt

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours clear golden with small short lived white head. Malty, grassy aroma with hints of alcohol. Flavor is full bodied and very malty, a bit sweet and hoppy, nice and tasty. Also well balanced and lean on palate. Finishes with acidy crispy and long lived bitter hoppy aftertaste.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Underrated beer. This has to be the best macropilsner in Norway along with Aass. Solid taste of malt. One of the most expensive pilsnerer from a macrobrewery, but worth it.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This was my favourite Oslo pilsener many years ago when Frydenlund Bryggeri existed in its own right, but Ringnes’ revival of the brew is not bad - it just isn’t quite as fresh and spritzy as i remember it. (But then my memory isn’t what it used to be, either...) Well, this is a light golden, medium hopped pils, perhaps more rounded than a pils ought to be, well worth sampling but nothing that will linger in your dreams.
