The wheat beer for Duesseldorf. This obergarige specialty is drunk the whole year over gladly, because it is soft and aromatic.

DAS Weizenbier, welches mir gefällt. Kaum Banane, viel Füchschen! Malziger Antrunk, vollmundiger Abgang.

Pours a hazy dull yellow with a nice white cap. Smell is wheat, yeast, mild banana and a bit of spice. Taste is wheat, spice and a touch of banana ending dry. Light body with nice carbonation.

Bottle at the brewery. Deep, cloudy, glowing gold with orange and a fine, low head. Lemony nose with oranges too. Fruity flavor, citrus, wheat, very un-Bavarian. No banana, low spice. Lightly tangy. Refreshing and slightly bready. Creamy esters and wheat. Good.

Bottle at the brewery. Pale yellow and hazy in appearance. It’s very fresh and clean tasting. Wheaty, peppery with light sweetness in the finish.

Tap at Fuchschen Brauhaus, Dusseldorf, 28/04/13. Hazed golden with a decent sized off white head. Nose is grass, toffee, light banana, mineral notes, a little thin all round. Taste comprises caramel, sugars, light tropical fruit notes, peach, banana, hint of vanilla. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Ok.

Test vom 23.3.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,9,10,10,12,10 - 9,95

Hazy orange golden colour, white head. Sweet malty aroma, citrus, orange peel, bread. Quite fruity, some yeast. Rather sweet flavour, malts, light bread. Sweet malty finish.
Indeed a quite soft Hefeweizen, but a bit too sweet to really stand out, for my taste.
