2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ClubGonzo (1981) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 7, 2011
Bottle @ International Beer Day celebration at Hanne På Høyden, Bergen - thanks Hanne! :-) Pours a light hazy orange body with a small white head. Nose is sour red currants and pale malts with hints of nuts. Taste is reversed; pale malts and nuts dominate while the red currants linger in the background. Peculiar, original and not too bad. Just not too good, either.

Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010 - Hazy brown in colour. Musty aroma with a hint of Calpol and malt. Slightly medicinal and fruity taste with dried fruit, more calpol and caramel. Drinkable, but there’s something odd about it.

Bottle. [thank you Thomas]
Pours muddy yellow with a small, creamy, white head. Soft earthy aroma, light grassy hops and pilsner malts. Soft carbonation, a bit fat and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is malty, sweet, bready, lots of oranges, grassy hops and grapefruity notes at the back. Surprisingly okay.
