AR: hoppy, red fruits, and some honey sweetness

F: medium + bitterness, hoppy bomb - this is an IPA, not an easter beer!
But as an IPA quite OK

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear copper liquid with a medium sized white foam that left big chunks on the side of the glass.
Lager-like smell, bread, malt, citrus and just a little bit of metal and hops.
Grassy hops, malt, citrus and also some fruits. Can’t quite distinguish which, but feels like a faint tangerine taste.
Medium smooth with a medium thick body. Feels ok I have nothing to complain about really.
Comment: A fairly easy to drink American pale ale that I initially mistook for a lager. The only thing that made me think otherwise before trying it was the foam that didn’t look much any lager I’ve seen. Even as I drink it I find some characteristics that I relate to regular Danish lagers. Not sure why I draw that reference, could it be the yeast? It’s also very moderately hopped, which is a bit disappointing.
This beer might work with your Easter dinner, but I have a feeling it’s better suited for that first Spring sun. Find shelter from the cool winds and I think this beer would come to it’s best.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Labeled as Easter Bird. Pours a clear amber with a nice head leaving some lacing. Some sweet malty, biscuity aromas as well as a faint of raisins. The hops are present as well with some resins and citrus in the aroma. Taste is malty at first but the hops kicks in towards the end. Medium-bodied.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear copper colour with slowly diminishing head. Aroma is flowery hoppy with bit of dough or baking yeast a la homebrewer style, with just a touch of tropical fruits. Flavour is pretty much the same, and after is a pleasant bitterness that leans towards of that of an IPA, but it’s dry and little papery which is not all that nice. All in all a nice surprise.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. This bottle has the name Easter Bird but I’ve heard that is just an alias for this (Early Bird) particular easter beer. Pours out in a clear pale amber colour with a cotton-like lasting white foam. Really fruity and aromatic aroma of mandarin and mild flowers. Medium-bodied with fresh but overpowering notes of of resin, mandarin, lemon-rind and mild grass. Gentle and smooth mouthfeel. Long medium-bitter finish of oily grassy hops, mandarin and lemon-zest.. I’ve never sampled a beer from this brewery before and I’m pleasantly surprised.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(on bottle) I like this beer and hopes the best for it in the election for Beer Of 2009 in Denmark. Light caramel color, lasting, white head. Slight butterscotch. Good carbonation, lightly sweet, herbish taste. Easy drinkable and a fine macro beer.
