COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American inspired pale ale using European malts and American hops. The light addition of crystal and chocolate malt contribute to the orange hue of the beer along with some caramel notes. Cascade hops are added late in the boil along with Simcoe hops in the whirlpool to give this beer itís unique apple, tangerine and citrus profile. The yeast from America also contribute some light strawberry notes to this tasty beer from Fuglsang. A celebration of Spring in Denmark!

Sweet malty and citrus accompanied with heavy hoppy flavor. Crispy citric on palate. Finishes with huge bitter hoppy and long aftertaste. Fantasticly good beer.

Bottled. Clear copper colour with slowly diminishing head. Aroma is flowery hoppy with bit of dough or baking yeast a la homebrewer style, with just a touch of tropical fruits. Flavour is pretty much the same, and after is a pleasant bitterness that leans towards of that of an IPA, but itís dry and little papery which is not all that nice. All in all a nice surprise.

Appearance: 4/5 Clear copper liquid with a medium sized white foam that left big chunks on the side of the glass. Smell: 5/10 Lager-like smell, bread, malt, citrus and just a little bit of metal and hops. Taste: 6/10 Grassy hops, malt, citrus and also some fruits. Canít quite distinguish which, but feels like a faint tangerine taste. Mouthfeel: 3/5 Medium smooth with a medium thick body. Feels ok I have nothing to complain about really. Comment: A fairly easy to drink American pale ale that I initially mistook for a lager. The only thing that made me think otherwise before trying it was the foam that didnít look much any lager Iíve seen. Even as I drink it I find some characteristics that I relate to regular Danish lagers. Not sure why I draw that reference, could it be the yeast? Itís also very moderately hopped, which is a bit disappointing. This beer might work with your Easter dinner, but I have a feeling itís better suited for that first Spring sun. Find shelter from the cool winds and I think this beer would come to itís best.

Bottled. This bottle has the name Easter Bird but Iíve heard that is just an alias for this (Early Bird) particular easter beer. Pours out in a clear pale amber colour with a cotton-like lasting white foam. Really fruity and aromatic aroma of mandarin and mild flowers. Medium-bodied with fresh but overpowering notes of of resin, mandarin, lemon-rind and mild grass. Gentle and smooth mouthfeel. Long medium-bitter finish of oily grassy hops, mandarin and lemon-zest.. Iíve never sampled a beer from this brewery before and Iím pleasantly surprised.
