COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Høstfugl is inspired by Bavarian brewing principles. An unfiltered dunkel weizen style beer using wheat malt, local Danish barley and some dark specialty malts including caramel rye malt. In addition Bavarian hops and yeast are used to impart a fresh and mild bitterness with notes of clove and banana from the top fermenting yeast.

0,5L Bottle: Very interesting aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Taste is sweet and round and a bit fruity. Red brown beer with a medium head, lasting long.

Hazy copper color. Aroma: Banana, malts, sweets and bread. Taste: Banana, caramel, nuts and a little spicy. The palate is pretty smooth. It’s an alright beer, not really familiar with the style, but it doesn’t do a lot for me.

Can. Pours hazy darkish amber with airy off-whie head. Clear aroma of malt, hops and grain with a touch of caramel. Sweetish, malty onset, changing into a sourish, grainy body. Rather watery mouthfeel. Dry aftertaste. Not bad but nothing revolutionary.

50 cl can. Gift from a friend. Clear deep oragne with a short lived, small, bubbly, light brown head lhat lingers as a film and leaves good lacing. Caramel, ripe banana, wood and band aid on the nose. Light sweet, acidic and a tad bitter flavors. Some spicy notes. Sharp carbonation. Medium body. Fizzy mouthfeel.

Nydt en fredag aften hvor jeg på dette tidspunkt nok var lettere beruset. Det har højst sandsynligt ikke været negativt for bedømmelsen.

0.33L bottle. Pours an unclear brownish red body, under a thin layer of beige bubbles. Sweet banana, and nutty marzipan-like tones in the aroma. Medium strong, soft and mellow malt body. Quite sweet, whithout being cloying. More banana in the flavor. Like the banana you get in those chocolate-coated banana chewing candies. No hops to speak of, but has some sour-astingent spicy notes to balance the sweetness. Creamy texture. Finishes lightly spiced, on the sweet side.
