Jan 28, 2008 Golden-straw colour. Nice legs. Sort of a bland starchy nose. Shaoxing wine with a woody, balsamy aftertaste. Oxidized starchy notes, hints of wood and alcohol. This is one strange brew.

Sep 23, 2007 (300ml bottle) Purchased at JustWines in Langford for $34. Clear deep yellow body. Nose of alcohol, bandaid and quality whiskey. I think I like this sake so much more because there isn’t that normal sake aroma of potato or root vegetable. Sweet apple front, strong whiskey melds into a very distinct maple finish. This stuff is wonderful... and super expensive.
