NorCal tasting Feb 07 - A pretty awful barleywine for sure. An aroma of rotting vegetables and sulphur. Appearance was nice with a deep copor color, minimal white head. Mouthfeel was too thin, watery and lacking any real feel. Flavor, like the nose, was vegetative, too sweet with a sharp tang of something infected. Pretty bad.

Phenolic, astringent , medicinal, vegetative and diacetyl forward nose. Horrible sulfur and paint thinner palate. Complete drain pour. Bottle from the brewer.

Draft. Copper color with a small tan head. Slight vegetal/caramel aroma. Fruity, malty flavor with peach and strawberry. Medium body. Lacking.
