Cask Stillage at the Winding Wheel, Chesterfield Beer Festival 02/02/2008 Fruit and hop aromas. Mid brown coloured with a fruity bubble gum flavour. Some alcohol present. Slightly spicy and bitter roast finish.

Well, fuk me: my internet died halfway through typing before so I’ll start all over again. Cask. Handpull. Flowerpot. Derby. Very very very very very very very dark brown. Never as black as a priest’s sock. Has the body of Elle McPherson extruded though a cafetiere; hardbody, fat coffee, bosomy body. Bliss. Fooking bliss. As for porter; bend over and kiss my fat ass. After Oxford’s debating society over stout and porter, I can confidentially say this is... neither. Fook the pumpclip, call it what you like. I’ll call it Mabel, and smack my arse if your disagee.

Cask conditioned at The Wellington, Birmingham. Dark brown to black with white head. Dark roasted bitter and dry porter with smoked coffee notes and a touch of woodsmoke, almost bonfirey in a pleasant way. Dry and bitter on the finish, quite a decent beer, although a porter??
