Bottle. Black with a beige foam. Aromas are earthy, rich roast coffee with oats and light chocolate. Nutty with hints of liquorice. Flavours are dry, bitter roast coffee with some chocolate and caramel sweetness. Dark chocolate with light grapefruit on the finish. Dry, nutty and peppery on the finish with some smokiness. Good stout.

Cask-conditioned at the Nottinghamshire beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol March 2012. Near black with a slight, off-white head. Aromas of dark chocolate, porridge oats and roasted malts. Flavour had more oats and chocolate before a dry finish. Very good.
