COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dry Irish stout with molasses caramel and toasted malt flavors. Stouts are robust full flavor porters but less filling and with fewer calories than most beers.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours black with a small brown head that has average retention. The aroma has a nice mix of roasted malt and dark and milk chocolate. The taste is big and roasty, dry coffee bean. Well done.

would have been a better stout if the porter hadn’t been next to it in the flight. after sipping the porter this one was a bit anemic. bit of a lighter mouthfeel that I like in a stout- decent coffee, earthy, malty flavour. brewer may have been a bit stingy with the hops. just average

Tap. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Roasted aroma with hints of chocolate and earthiness. Nice roasted flavor with notes of chocolate, light caramel and a hint of woody smokiness. Nice earthy bitterness in the finish.

Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours a very dark brown color with a thin tan head. The nose has light roasted notes. Earthy roasted notes on the palate with a weak bitterness. Definitely a dry stout in nature. Light body and pretty drinkable.

Virginia Trip – at brewpub on tap
Aroma dark character , notes of charcoal, dark chocolate , old wood with nutty backing.
Appearance dark brownish-black with lighter top. 3+.
Flavor and Palate : Medium bodied. Smooth with dark woody bitterness. Slight roast on sides. Softer finish. Good brew.
