4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
i just wrote that the brown ale was my favourite from the flight, but i was wrong. has to be the porter. Earthy, malty, chocolate, sweet all followed by a good amount of bitter from the hops. far, far better than the stout. I bit heavier mouthfeel than I am used to with a stout but overall an excellent brew.

Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours a dark brown color with a small, off white head. It seems like a cross between the stout and the brown ale. Some nuttiness and light roasted malt notes. Thin body. Not bad.

Virginia Trip – at brewpub on tap
Aroma mellow mild aroma, slight hint of dark elements. Touch of chocolate . Subdued.
Appearance dark-brownish-black with medium top. Long lasting cap. 4-.
Flavor and Palate : Mild mellow, smooth with fruity mid. Rather sweet with out bitterness to balance. Hint of spice. Felt bit generic.
