COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We hit this full bodied IPA with “nookie” four times during the brewing process to give this ale its trademark Chinook hop character. We then “dry nookied” this flavorful ale to further enhance its grapefruit and pine aroma.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 1/2014. Slight gusher upon opening. Pours hazy deep orange copper color with a 2-3 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, orange peel, lemon zest, tangerine, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with bright citrus/pine hops and light-moderate malt presence; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, pine resin, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Sizable pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, pine resin, floral, grass, light caramel, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice bright citrus/pine hop flavors with a light malt presence; with a fairly dry finish with no cloying bitterness. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very crisp and sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. Good complexity of bright citrus/pine hop flavors with light malt presence; and very crisp to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Amber/caramel colored pour. Small white head. Little lacing. Big piney, resiny hop aroma. Malt tucked in as well. Malt flavor with a nice pine hop. Bready. Not bad.

Pours a clear amber color with an off-white head. Aroma of earthy and grapefruit hops and light malt. Flavor of citrus hops and sweet malt with quite a bit of hops at the finish.

Draft.Copper color with a white head. Nice citrus nose. Bitter orange rind flavor messed this one up. I love Full Pint but this one fell short for me.

Taste is a strong profile of hops. Nice initial citrus that gives was to pine and eventually dryness. Lingering bitterness. Not much malt flavor to balance. Enjoyable hop experience, average overall beer though..

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass at Incline Public House. Pours a very hazy orange color with a small white head. Notes of citrus fruits (orange, tangerine mostly), caramel malts, some pine and florals, and a little bit of toast and sugar. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a mellow bitter, fruity mouthfeel that gets dry and toasty late. Good IPA.

Pours a nice golden color with a very smoky citrusy aroma. Chinook hops add a nice piney smoky flavor to compliment the malt nicely.

Fresh 12oz bottle from Total Wine in tampa. Copper-orange pour with a thinnish white head and loose lacing. Aroma is pleasant fresh citrus hop. Tastes are also fresh - grapefruit, pine, caramel, little bready. Crisp bitter finish. Pretty nice.

On tap at Waterworks Burgatory. Great fresh hop aroma, piney, herbal, and spicy. Medium golden amber clear with thin white head. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Sweet with oranges and tons of hop flavor, sticky and bitter. Bitter finish and after. Nice fresh-hop IPA.
Earlier Rating: 10/28/2010 Total Score: 3.3
From bottle. Nice hop aroma. Not super fresh but nice resin and fruit rind notes, a little apricot. Mild malt sweetness. Medium orange amber hazy with huge pillowy off-white lacing, lasting head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Light pale malt with a bit of caramel. Big hop flavor. Piney with a bit of fruit rind and apricot. Big bitter from start to end. Acidic tang, too. Bitter after but not astringent or harsh.
