3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This really wasn’t bad at all. Orange amber, off clear, with some yeast clumps at the end of the bottle. Pine and grass on the aroma with more pine and citrus in the flavor without too much harshness. Almost dry and a little thin for an IPA, but would could be outstanding as an over the top pale ale (without the yeasty floaters).

Just delicious. Big bold citrus aroma upfront with a pleasant hop bitterness through out. Balanced well with malt sweetnes . Really tasty.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a very hazy orange amber color with a one finger white head. The head has good retention, slowly fading to leave a moderate level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma was big of a citrus grapefruit hop mixed with some sweeter tropical and lighter fruit flavors. The tropical fruits were a mix of tangerine, papaya and mango with the lighter fruits being more of a peach and apricot aroma. A light pine and sugary aroma are mixed with these producing an overall fruity and hoppy smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter fruit flavor of tangerine mixed with a bit of lightly roasted malt flavor. A grapefruit hop flavor is present right up front. It starts out of moderate strength and gets stronger as the flavors advance. Tropical fruit flavors begin coming to the tongue more toward the middle of the taste. These however are mostly overshadowed by the hop flavors due to the grapefruit getting stronger as well as an arrival of an earthy and pine hop taste more toward the end. In the end a very grapefruit hop and moderately fruity (but lighter in comp to the hop flavor) is left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average to slightly thinner side for a IPA of its 6.2% abv with a carbonation level that is rather average. Fairly decent overall for the big hoppy and fruit flavors of the brew all while keeping it nice and easy drinking.
Overall – A fairly citrus hoppy but still pretty easy drinking IPA. Well worth a try.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle pour copper orange. Nose dank hop, some papaya. Tatse mild bitter up front, then some generic sweetness with not as much fruit character as the nose. Good mouth feel. Bitter finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
355 mL bottle. Pours translucent copper-orange with a small, slightly off-white head. Appealing aroma of citrus, pineapple, a touch of resin, and a touch of spice. The flavour is not exactly balanced, but there is a nice underlying malty, caramelly backbone to prevent this from being one-dimensional hop juice. Chinook is a lovely hop, and it is well utilized here. Bitterness is nice through the mouth, but fades fairly quickly. Body could be bigger. But overall, a very appealing, drinkable IPA.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from bottle into tulip glass a hazy a deep amber. Aroma was lighter than most American IPA’s mild grapefruit and malt. The taste is different than many with the grapefruit coming at the sip and getting pine late and trough the finish but it has a nice malt note that I think adds a nice smoothness and some caramel. Body is full and there is a small alcohol note in the finish but overall a nice drinker, well done

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, best before December of 2014.
Appearance: Super hazy, near opaque, amber to mahogany colored body with a very short light tan head that quickly dissolves into a thin coating.
Aroma: The aroma is mild but it smells like it’s a bit old, despite it not being so. Candied orange peel and caramel come to mind, along with an odd slightly sour tinge. Definitely not an IPA aroma, but not bad.
Taste: This tastes old as well. Some tea like hops noted with a dull slightly musky semi-sweet malt base. Hints of grapefruit towards the end, but really this doesn’t taste any bit like an IPA. The finish lingers a little of bitterness, but overall this is a bit dull.
Palate: Full-bodied, mildly carbonated.
Overall: This isn’t undrinkable, but it drinks more like a slightly aged American barley wine than an IPA. Definitely not worth it’s price, and certainly a bottom tier IPA. This isn’t a bad beer but calling it an IPA is a bit silly.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a copper with thin white head. Citrus, the Chinook hops, and maybe even some pics at the nose. Taste is of a medium bitterness with an equally medium body. A good base for a northern style IPA.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, mine at 7.1% abv. Nose very hoppy, lots of resin and juice, slightly papery with heavier orange peel and grapefruit, lightly spicy. Hazy orange-golden gradient or a pour with a sudsy beige head. Taste is somewhat dry, maybe lightly sweet, little bit of alcohol showing, dull and thin caramel-leaning malt, but there’s some nice berry-like fruitiness in with the citrus, and the hops are fresh. Low resins, medium juice, relatively low bitterness and certainly less than the moderate sweet. Some good flavor here, fresh and piny, medium body, relatively clean overall with just a bit too much yeast character in the finish.
