12oz bottle. Deep amber, bordering on brown, with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of spice (definitely cinnamon & ginger). Tastes of spice, floral hops, and some earth. Definitely a spice beer.

On tap at the 1 for the road. Nearl dark and cloudy brown, looks like a dark hefe. No real apparent aroma, just muted and clean. First taste is weird and unique initial flavors of leather and perhaps silly vanilla. Odd spices in there fer sure; don’t know how to describe it. No co2 in this stuff. YEs, particular spices are upfront here. Somewhat medicinal on the finish but personality never really goes over the top.

This was a decent little Christmas beer and probably one of my favorites from this local brewery. Aroma was nice and spicy. Pine, cinnamon and lightly roasted malt. Pour was a medium brown with a few rising bubbles and an off white film for a head. Taste was nice and Christmasy. The spice level was just right. Cinnamon, vanilla and slightly peppery with a sweet malty backbone. the beer could be a little fuller, instead it was pretty thin and the finish was too quick. Either way a good holiday beer that I may include in my list of beers I will serve on Christmas day.

An amber-red with a beige head. This one smells faintly of cinnamon, but mostly caramel and sweet cereal. The taste is not very spicy, mostly a slightly sweet brown. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t particularly interesting.

Clear dark amber with a retentive off white head, nice lacing... spicy, ginger aroma, lightly malty.... very holiday ginger cookie like, flavor is fuller than the aroma indicates... medium bodied, a little dry with a lingering graham/ginger taste...

12 oz bottle from Craft Ale. Pours hazy deep brown with 1-finger splotchy khaki head. Nose is vienna malty, earthy, with brown sugar, x-mas spice, and hops. Tastes spicy, nutmeggy, and very hoppy, with a pronounced malt flavor. Reminds me of a 33/33/33/ mix of scotch ale, X-mas ale, and Simcoe IPA, and that combo works significantly better than I thought it would.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of malt and a slight hint of spices. Poured amber/brown in color with a small, creamy, dense, tan head, that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, cinnamon, spices, and nutmeg. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt, spice, cinnamon finish is dry.
