COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Be it Columbus or Tettnang, the Hobnobber never discriminates. This daring single hopped session ale keeps the same malt bill but changes the hop venue every time we brew it.

Cask (unlabeled version, presumably this one). Small beige head, hazy amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet forward orange/grapefruit. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some orange. Medium body, light resin.

12oz bottle. Poured a deep amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, toasted grains, and a trace of caramel. Tastes of toasted grains, lighter citrus and lighter floral hops. Body and tastes somewhat on the thinner and watery side.

Pours turbid copper with 2-finger khaki head. Nose is vibrant citrus fruit, resiny piney hops, caramel malt. mild feety funk. Tastes piney, with some tangeriney and sprucey notes, not enough caramel malt for the hops.

Draft to pint. Looks solid; a hazy orange with thin white lacing. Smells decent; golly with a sweet malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A nice session beer, and a good example of the style.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of malt, Earth, grain, slight chocolate, and a hint of hops. Poured deep orange in color with a small to medium-sized, creamy, dense, rocky, tan head that lasted throughout. Very hazy. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is light to medium bitter. Tastes of malt, toasting, slight roasting, grain, and slight hops. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, toast, roast, grain, slight hop finish is medium bitter.

The aroma is sweet with caramel but dominated by pine and citrus hops. The appearnace is amber with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma with a bitter finish. The palate is smooth. Overall a great beer with a special bread like quality.

This poured a darker yellow color with a white head. Aroma was nice mellow hops, but enough there to notice, mild sweeter malt character and some crackery notes. Flavor was mild, but fairly fruity, malt did not get too much in the way of this one. Decent.

On tap at the bocktown monaca. They did not know if it was tettnand or columbus so I’ll put it here, I cannot really tell the diffrence between the two hop varieties and I thing its superfolous to have the same beer with just two different kind of hops. I see this is a fad by brewers to attempt to increase sales. Darker iced tea brown with a smooth creamy head. Quite bitter initially and much more bitter than expected considering it was s’posed to be a pale ale; this stuff is IPA fer sure. More hoppy bitter than many IPA. Has nice lacing. Coats my glass like your favorite mates see thru teddy. Odd roasty or woody background in there, makes it intriquing but it still is very bitter fer sure. Finish is long and fully bitter. Barely any co2. If you like IPA give this a try, you will not be dissapoinbted.

12 ounce bottle pours a dark golden yellow color with aromas of pine, citrus, and a decent caramel malt backbone. Flavors follow suit mostly caramel and pine flavors very light acetone aftertaste.

On hand pull at Fat Heads Pittsburgh. Pours a super murky orange with a thick white head. Aroma of bitter, pot-like, grassy and garlicky hops. Flavor is very garlicky and super bitter in the finish. I definitely wouldn’t guess this was 4% because it is quite full bodied and super hoppy. Great stuff! 8/4/8/4/15 (3.9/5)
