From the depths of the Full Pint fermenters comes a Spine Tingling Stout that will have beer nerds returning from their graves. We single hopped this brew with cascade for citrus character perfectly balanced with roasted malts for unrelenting great taste.

Pours almost black with a thin tan head that clings to the glass and stays. OK aroma of roasted malts. Although dark in color it was very thin and not at all oily in texture. It felt thin, watered down and there was not much flavor to speak of. It seemed flat and bland. Very disappointing for a stout. It doesn’t live up to its name or style.

Drank in a pint glass poured on tap at the Back Yard Ale House in Scranton, Pa. Pours black with bubbly brown head. Aromas of pine and flowers. A nice roasted flavor with strong hop flavor but not overpowering.

12 oz bottle from Tmoney99. Pours dark brown to black in color with a large fluffy khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, grapefruit citrus, earthy, chocolate, a hint of anise, body is thin, moderate bitterness to the finish. Citrusy stouts are not something I enjoy very much especially when they are on the thin side.

Very enjoyable stout. Very dark pour with a nice light forming head. Very good taste of roasted malts and coupled with a light carbonation this beer is overall medium bodied. Enjoy.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a medium creamy brown head that dissipates slowly leaving nice lacing. Aroma is rich, roasty, anise, cocoa, blackstrap molasses. Flavor is light sweet and quite bitter, roasty, earthy, molasses, burned things. Lingering bitterness remains. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. This is a kind of smack you up side the head stout, and not in a bad way.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. The cheesy label grabbed my attention, but I was not expecting much, thankfully I was wrong... Poured dark brown, with a nice tan head, nice retention, nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, some chocolate and some coffee notes. Taste is consistent, and it is quite smooth; sweet, chocolate, some roast notes and even some hops. A solid stout, very drinkable and certainly quite enjoyable.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2015 Tap. Pitch pour, gentle roast with very light mocha and chocolate, light-medium bitterness that unfortunately turns to acridity, and there’s a light-medium sourness that I find really off-putting here; it’s not infection, just overworked malt. Medium body and a nice balance between smooth/crisp, just not one I’ll be returning to soon (maybe bottled). [2014.11.14: 2.8]

Another bottle, this one 12oz) another way overcarbonated, not infected but sharing some of the same features, and way sweet. The smoky acrid burned notes are too sweet, body is watery, touch of booze showing, powdery/filmy coating in the back of the tongue, everything airy and overcooked. [2015.04.19: 2.4]

Draft @ WOB, RSW. Aroma is malty, roasty, & a little sweet. Opaque black color with thick medium brown head, nice lacing. Taste is a bit bitter, roasty. Medium body. Maybe a bit too bitter (especially aftertaste), but not bad.

On cask at the Knick. Smoky, rubbery, hoppy. Chocolate, coffee, and light molasses. Dark brown black with thin creamy light tan head. Medium body with cask carbonation. Starts fairly dry with roasted-burnt malt. Chocolate, coffee, and some smoke, light molasses. Big hop character, piney with dank rubbery finish on the malt. Smooth bitter finish with coffee-bitter after.
