3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours black thin brown head. Aroma is chocolate, roasty, coffee, light pine. Mild sweet taste. Full body, thick texture, roasty, bitter hop finish. I thought Black IPA when I drank it rather than stout. Overall good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very interesting overall. Roasty aroma with strong presence of citrus hops. Dark brown pour with a huge frothy head that leaves lots of lacing. Body a tad lighter than expected but still satisfying. Taste is rather unique. Roasty malt backbone with grapefruit coming through in back including lingering finish.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with a huge foamy tan head that leaves tons of lacing. Rich aroma, of toasted malt, dark chocolate, a bit of coffee, nuts, and wood. Taste of burnt toast, wood, bitter coffee, with some watery notes. Lingering roasted taste but ends watery. Not bad, just needs some more body to it.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from the tap into a pint glass at the Blue & Grey Pub in Gettysburg, PA. This is a very nice stout. The beer pours a nice dark black color with a really good coffee and malt aroma. The flavor is also heavy malt with some coffee. A good stout.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured into a pint glass.
4.0 A: Black color. Two fingers of frothy light brown head. Retention is pretty good and lots of lacing is left.
3.75 S: Big roast and molasses. Next is coffee, caramel, and chocolate. This is quite potent for the ABV and smells pretty good too.
3.5 T: Tastes like it smells. Lots of roastiness to go with lots of molasses. Coffee, caramel, chocolate secondary. Moderate neutral maltiness. Not much else to say.
3.75 M: Heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Reasonably creamy and quite smooth.
3.5 D: Good beer overall. Not really any problems.

This is one of the best true stouts I have ever tasted. Also very easy drinking for having such big shoulders...7%!

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Just okay. Aroma of roasted malts and grapefruit. The taste is a lot of malt up front with a big kick of hops. Way too hoppy for my liking. Not huge on citrus forward stouts but if that's your thing, grab it.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours almost black with a thin tan head that clings to the glass and stays. OK aroma of roasted malts. Although dark in color it was very thin and not at all oily in texture. It felt thin, watered down and there was not much flavor to speak of. It seemed flat and bland. Very disappointing for a stout. It doesn’t live up to its name or style.

3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Drank in a pint glass poured on tap at the Back Yard Ale House in Scranton, Pa. Pours black with bubbly brown head. Aromas of pine and flowers. A nice roasted flavor with strong hop flavor but not overpowering.
