Transfer from BA review 1-20-14- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a light golden color with a one finger of pure white head. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a light level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is mainly of a bready and caramel nature. Mixed with these aromas are some lighter fruit smells of apple as well as some other sweeter toffee aromas. A very light grassy hop smell is there as well rounding out the aroma nicely. Taste – The taste begins bready with some caramel and apple sweetness upfront. The bready taste creates a base for the brew remaining relatively constant throughout the taste. The sweet however, does not act as a base and instead loses strength as the taste advances to the end. While the sweet fades, some hop flavors of a grassy and hay-like nature come to the tongue. Along with the hop so too comes some more grainy flavors, which when combined with the rest, leave a lightly sweetened, bready and crisp pilsner flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. Both are rather appropriate for the styles and the flavors with the lighter body and higher carbonation keeping it feeling rather refreshing. Overall – A very easy drinking brew with a nice blend of bready, sweet, and hopped. While not anything to go nuts about it is easy to drink and relatively refreshing.

$5 bottle @ Bowsers. Slight permanent hair treatment aroma, smells like many Lionsheads I’ve had. A liter colored beer with some sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Mild flavors with just a tad of dull hop impact. Decent bubbly co2. Overall a quite mild and somewhat enjoyable beer. Probably one of the better beers I’ve had from full pint. JMHO

355 mL bottle from the brewery. A slightly drier version of the King Kolsch. There is an unpleasant metallic note in the finish, however.

A pretty nice pilsner. Light with a decent amount of bready malts and a touch of lemon at the end.

Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly. Slight oxidation aroma up front. Fades as head dissipates. Left with lemony citrus notes. Taste is light and clean with a mellow residual sweetness that has a slight offset of spice to balance. Finishes dry. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy bight golden color with a large creamy yellow-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was tart citrus, a bit of yeast, Sweettart candies, plum and a bit of egg white. The flavor was dryish, tart and somewhat bitter with notes of cracker, citrus, perfume and Sweettart candies. Medium length dry and tart citrus and perfume finish. Medium body. Ok.

Bottle. Pours a clear light gold body under a small fizzy and thin white head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is pretty nice, bready and crackery maltiness with a moderate Saaz hop aroma. Very clean and fairly crisp smelling. The Saaz hop flavor comes across really nicely, the malt is bready and crisp, on the dry side, well lagered. Nice lingering Saaz hop finish with minimal bitterness. Light bodied and crisp with soft fizzy carbonation and a lightly bitter finish. Pretty nice Pilsener, better than I was expecting.

(bottle - 12 oz) Gold pour with a fizzy white head. Lightly hopped aroma with a hint of biscuit malt. Sweetness at the start of the flavor with a slightly metallic and rather dry and bitter finish. Love the Pittsburgh Dad theme.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden butterscotch witha small fizzy white head that dissipates quickly leaving little lacing. Aroma is corny, grain, grass. Flavor is the same, light sweet, light bitter. Fullish body, but nearly flat. Unterrible.

Clear golden colored pour. More towards straw, I guess. Small white head. No lacing. Malty aroma with some notes of hops. Taste is a malty front with some hops in the back. Nice sweet malty finish. Pretty tasty.
