3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 boto (1661) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - MAY 18, 2013
12oz bottle: This one pours a fairly clear, straw yellow color. Mine had almost no head on it, and left almost no lacing. Lighter but nice aroma. Mainly lemony citrus, with faint spice and wheat notes. Some grassiness too. The taste is good. Pretty typical of a wit. Lemon, wheat, a hint of spiciness. Perhaps a bit lighter in body, but still pretty good.

Poured on draft. Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head of foam. Aroma is very fruity and floral with a pleasant ester profile. It’s a little more hoppy than I would expect from a Witbier. I honestly thought it was a Belgian style IPA. Tastes fruity and estery. Overall very pleasant.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a slightly hazy honey with thin white lacing. Smells semi-sweet, doughy, and yeasty with some citrus notes. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Okay.

Draft sample. Pours hazy yellow color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate citrus sweet and yeast aroma. Medium body to a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet citrus finish of an average duration. My expectations where not met.

Pours a hazy pale yellow. Aroma is lemon-citrusy. Flavor is also very citrusy. Bright lemon flavor. Almost straddles the line between wit and shandy. Pretty decent though

12oz bottle, shared by Jay. ABV labeled 6%, Best by 7/2013. Hazy white / yellow color. Thin white head, dots of lace. Big orange peel and spice in the nose. Medium body, light smooth carbonation. Good spicy aftertaste. Sweet taste, kind of zesty. Some kind of savory taste (probably from that mystery spice) that I don’t usually get from a wit in here. Respectable wit, with a bit of a creative twist.
