UPDATED: JUL 26, 2011 Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a very cloudy yellow- amber color with a medium sized white head that produced good lacing. The aroma was fairly strong lemon and orange with undertones that were musty and spicy. The flavor was sweet and yeasty with a strong note of orange and lemon and a hint of spice. The finish was long, sweet and yeasty orange. Surprisingly full bodied. Lovely.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of LIVEFAST. Thanks Alan! Cloudy light yellow appearance with a huge, off white head. Coriander, fairly yeasty, very citrusy, somewhat spicy, tropical, lemongrass (?) aroma. Light bodied, wheat malty, spicy yeasty, coriander, lemon/orange citrusy flavor. Very easy drinking, tasty witbier. Reminds me a lot like Dogfish Head Namaste.

A- Fantastic. Foggy straw yellow body and 2 finger or so soapy white head. The ehad fades to 1/2 finger or so and plenty of lacing is left behind in the glass. The cloudiness is very dynamic as you can see thick clouds swirl about in the glass and some bubbles rising to the top.
S- Nose is pretty typical for a wit. Bready yeast, a touch of citrus and coriander, and a hint of soapiness as well.
T- Flavor upfront somewhat dry and the highlight is coriander with a mild bready backbone. The peppery spice aspects intensify for the finish and a touch of citrus comes through and the yeast backbone becomes slightly more prominent-but the finish overall is pretty clean with only a touch of spice lingering.
M- High carbonation and a lightweight-but full slightly bready, dry body.
D- I like this beer a lot. Its light, drinkable, and full of flavor. This is my first brew from this new brewing company out of Pittsburgh and I look forward to trying other offerings from them. One of the better American wits that is out there.

Rather than read a thousand reviews from wit haters, gotta say this is a solid tasty wit with plenty of lemon zest, orange, coriander an am still trying to figure out the secret spice. Not oregano lol. Bit of a soap aroma though but flavor rocks! Want more.

Bottle from Capone’s. Turbid dull yellow toward chardonnay colored with minimal fizzy white head. Nose is a great medley of limey orange zesty citrus, clovey and coriander spice, malt. Tastes citric, limey, orange zesty up front, with a mid-palate hit of malt and clove and coriander spices. It all works together extremely well, and makes this one a beer I had to stop myself from downing in one big swig, and wishing I had a six pack. A wonderful wit..

Yum! This was my roommate’s... I took it out of the fridge ’cause she won’t be back until Tuesday. I’m gonna replace it, I promise! Good to know that this tasty, fruity, sort of apricot-y wheat bear is being brewed right here in the Pittsburgh area!

Pours a light yellow with a thin white head. Banana and lemon aroma is quite nice. Nice flavor is very similar. No surprises here, but it’s nice.

12oz bottle.
Nice funky wit aroma and flavor. Quite balances as well - no single flavor is dominant with the spice and orange peel playing well off each other. All in all, a very tasty brew.

Draft at the Library in Pitt, Sunday. Awesome wit. Just about textbook in every way, with a very nice spicy finish that sneaks up. Way to take a classic style and make it your own without ruining it.

This poured a nice cloudy straw yellow color with a fluffy white head. Aroma was lots of yeasty and spices, mainly cloves. Flavor was spicey yeast, light citrus and large banana tones. Pretty good Witbeer
