3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 nealblind (118) - USA - MAY 21, 2013
Very orange pour. small head good retention. Smells of spices; nutmeg, clove and malt. Tastes both sweet and bitter, resembling an esb. well defined citrus pine hops and caramel malts. Also orange flavors. Odd legume/bean flavor halfway through. Well hidden alcohol under the intense hops and malt. Sorta like beer concentrate.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Wittales (446) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAY 6, 2013
Appearance was cloudy copper caramel with diminishing creamy 1 finger Off white head , spotty lacing. Aromas are caramel, toffee, pale, crystal sweets malts, hops are tiny as with alcohol. Taste are sweet malt backbone of toffee, brown sugar, caramel, touch of bourbon or maple. Slight alcohol and grapefruit, pine, orange hops. Palate was soft smooth CO2 with medium body, lasting sweet malty slightly hoppy bitter finish. A different brew with a strange different recipe. I likey.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 thedm (4783) - Fort Wayne, USA - APR 13, 2013
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy dark red brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was sweet and malt hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish. The sharp flavor contained notes of sweet hops and malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 cthomas2390 (126) - Colorado, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Hazy copper pour. Malty nose with a bit of piney hops. Hops come thru too much for a dopplebock. Carbonation’s about right.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 beernovice39 (2785) - Montana, USA - MAR 6, 2013

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 trujahwarrior (284) - Monroe, Washington, USA - MAR 5, 2013
Pours a copper/amber color with a medium white head that fades to a thin dish soap like spotty lacing. Smells of caramel, pale malt, and grapefruit. Tastes of all the same things in the smell. With a slight apple tartness in the back end. Mouthfeel is surupy and pretty thin, with ok carbonation and a dry finish. For a 25th anniversary commemorative beer It’s pretty lame. Full Sail could have done a lot better. I did like the sour element they added though.
