3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Citrusy, hazy, slightly sweet. Not bad. Not the expected Dopplebock flavor. More hoppy flavor.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark golden copper color with apricot colored edges and a one finger white foam head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Streaks of spotty lacing left behind.
Slightly toasted sweet malt aroma with a delicate floral hop presence for balance. Hints of caramel, toffee, rye and biscuit countered by a grassy hop character and subtle dark fruit notes.
On the fuller end of medium bodied with a surprisingly hop forward flavor thatís countered by sweet malt, bready yeast and dark fruit. Floral, grassy hops provide some dry bitterness that lingers but this is nicely countered by caramel malt, biscuit, toffee, hazelnut and toast. Well balanced with a well masked high ABV, making this beer very easy to drink. Pretty flavorful but a bit too hoppy for this style in my opinion.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rated on 4-13-2013 (Bottle) This beerís appearance is a small smooth off-white head that is mostly lasting, orange transparent body, very fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, bready, some toffee, pine hops, and earthy. The flavor is lightly bitter, pine hops, toffee, bready, and caramel malt. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. A quaffable beer with a lingering bitter aftertaste. It is a sipping beer. A Dopplebock? Really? Hmmm.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bott;e @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Hazy dark caramel amber, head that drops to the rim, light streaks of lace. Nice aroma of caramel and malt. Taste is malt that adds sweet caramel and bread in the palate, then turns to alcohol, with even a hint of bourbon in the end. The lingering finish shows the caramel hasnít left yet.

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark copper color with a nice toast smell and malty notes. White foam with nice lacing and fair retention. Light carbonation and smooth mouth feel. Tastes of baked crackers and light bitterness in the back. The bitterness sits in the after taste for about 3 to 4 minutes and on the toung for longer. Some hopps balanced by sweetness.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled on 3/13/14. This dopplebock pours a light to medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Large to medium sized white foamy head with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is malty, sweet and bready. A medium to light bodied dopplebock. The malts are bready, caramel and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Decent carbonation. Nice malty and bready dopplebock, dark fruit and some brown sugar. A touch boozy and perhaps a touch of oxidation. Very drinkable. Aroma is sweeter than the taste. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz. bottle. Orange color with thin head without retention. Aroma is layers of dried fruits and caramel. Flavor has lots of dark fruit sweetness with dates, raisins and prune notes. Has a light herbal bitterness toward the bad end. Medium and full-bodied with no carbonation on the tongue. The palate displays sugar with a mildly syrupy texture. Decent.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a finger of head on a clear medium straw colored body.
The aroma has a rich caramel malt aroma mixed with lemon and pine.
The taste starts with caramel sweetness, then some moderate pine and lemon bitterness comes through, finishes with the caramel sweet again.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Itís a hoppier and less sweet doppelbock. I enjoyed it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear dark golden color, with a white head. Aroma of mixed hops and malt. Taste is slightly more hops, but the malt is there too. Fairly smooth and drinkable. The relatively high alcohol is not apparent. Thumbs up.
