COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The best selling Amber in the Northwest. Itís a great tasting malty sweet beer that has rich amber hue, a full body, and a spicy floral hop finish. This American style amber ale is brewed with: 2-row Pale, Crystal and Chocolate malts and is hopped with Mt. Hood and Cascade hops

Bottles. This is a good ale in its style. More malt than hop, but not sweet. Hops balance that out, but donít bring much flavor (certainly I donít detect Cascades). Slight choco-roast. Still, not quite as rich and creamy as it could be.

Best by date of 08.26.14. Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler on 06.30.14. A: Caramel and some breadiness. A: 1/3 finger head. See through red/amber body. The head burns off quickly. T: Caramel dominates. Bready sweetness and flower are subtle. P: Too bubbly and watery but satisfying like a lager. O: This wasnít complex at all, like a lager. It felt and tasted like a lager too. Itís an older style amber (1989), but itís boring today.

BBOTMC. Pours deep amber with a nice head, aroma of dark bread, marmalade, orange, flavor of cookies, dark bread, caramel, slightly bitter, medium bodied.

12 oz. bottle from Trader Joeís. Nose of malt and yeast. Taste of malt with a little toast, caramel and limited bitterness. Not floral or piney. Sweeter than I expected and not particularly smooth or complex. Overall an acceptable amber ale.

Bottle. Clear deep amber red color, off white head. Aroma of caramel. Taste is slightly biscuity, slightly spiced toasted caramel. Decent.

Good ass hops and fresh flowery ass grains on the nose and taste buds. Ahhhh. Always count on full sail for a decent brew. Loads of flavor. Very pleased with this bottle in a pint glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Clear and gorgeous deep red-amber with a firm and perfect beige head. Sweet nose, caramel malt, ripe fruit and earthy-grassy hops. Rich caramel malt flavor, lo-med bitterness, biscuits, honey. Medium bodied, a bit too sweet, somewhat tired but overall OK.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Arielís place. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Clear amber. Aroma of malt, a bit of caramel, toast, nutty note and some citric hops. Sweetish malty flavor with caramel, toast, nuts and some hops bitterness. Medium-bodied. OK.

Pours much darker than your average amber. To me it has a fuller taste than most ambers. Not sure it will be one of my favorites but sure wouldnít turn one down.

Serving: from tap at Filibertoís Italian Restaurant. Aroma: none detected. Appearance: average-sized, frothy, off-white initial head with very good lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-amber body. Taste: lightly sweet initial flavor and lightly sweet, roasty finish with long duration. Palate: medium body with watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: nothing memorable.
