3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 wineguycda (5) - Idaho, USA - APR 3, 2009Not usually a fan of widely distributed Ambers, but this was better than I expected. Darker than usual copper colour, Nice malt balanced with subtle hops, a little fruit. Overall, a pretty, drinkable Amber.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 AR (863) - Georgia, USA - JUN 9, 2013
This is a nice solid beer that has a good body, aroma and has a nicely balanced mix of malts and hops. Easy drinking. Good session beer.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 alobar (2337) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 7, 2013

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Westmeister (991) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 3, 2013
Bottle. Pours dark, clear amber with ample off white head. Taste is sweet fruity malts, caramel, super smooth and perfect sweetness. Quite surprised by this one and one of the best non-hoppy ambers I have ever had.

Rich dark color, some hop aroma but it just didn’t have that certain flavor to bring me back for more.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Beerathon (635) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 28, 2013
This is a beer that has great harmony between the malts and hops. Super smooth on the tongue with lovely cascade hops coming through. Solid amber/red ale.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 BlackHaddock (2440) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 28, 2013
Pint: in Valhalla, New York on 18 Jan 2013.
Pours a good clean amber colour with a thin white topping.
Malts lead the way in both the aroma and taste. Sweet and tasty brew (I like malty, sweet beers), caramel and dark fruit hints hide the alcohol well and I really enjoyed this beer, my last in New York before re-joining my cruise ship after a day wandering around and drinking.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 khoffman43 (943) - Bloomington, Minnesota, USA - MAY 11, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear amber with white head. Tons of caramel on the nose, pretty much all I’m getting. Solid beer, nothing special.

Very smooth, balanced, malty at the start with a caramel like sweetness. Nutty, full, and refreshing. Light hops to the end. A very good amber.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 durhambeer (2414) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Bottle. Pours thin-looking amber with a small beige head. Taste is sweet, some grainy malt. Mild bittering hops. Nondescript but certainly not bad. Very thin palate.
2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Shinskyweiser (2) - - MAY 3, 2013 does not count
Pours a dark amber, almost brown. Head dissipated quickly.
Little to no hop aroma. A very slight grape/apple note can be detected.
Well balanced to hop forward. Fruity hop character, black currant, grape, apple. Carmel notes detected. Slight roast, raisin detected.
Overall a decent beer. Well balanced east coast style amber. My palate prefers the "west coast" hop forward style.
