Thin bodied with a crisp finish, moderate lactic sourness, but a bit medicinal overall. This just didn’t round out like some of the other berliners I’ve had, thin and sharp. boFNjackson (1327), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 11, 2009 Tap @ Belmont Station... Poured a clear golden with a white head. Cracker or pilsner-like malts on the nose. Smooth, low carbonated palate. An amazing sweetness of honey and fruits with an apple-ish, wheaty finish. neepsntatties (350), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 27, 2009 Tried this recently from a growler. Colour... light straw with gently bubbles. Nose... slightly yeasty, some butyl esters, cut wheat grass. Palate... a burst of carbonation up front with some delicate esters, newly mown hay and a quick finish. Somehow expected more from Full Sail, but they certainly make up for it with such animals as the Black Gold and the Top Sail! ¾ (5011), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Stinky nose of dried grass and DMS. Skunky light-struck character on a kegged berliner weisse. Lightly prickly, low carbonation, minimal lactic acidity. Vegetal, grainy, nutty. Terrible.
