badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Nov 9, 2006 deep brown, almost black body with small brown head..aroma of nuts, caramel, toffee, oak, chocolate, and vanilla..flavor is of vanilla, chocolate, nougat, major sugar, and light bourbon...perfect creamy palate cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Nov 5, 2006 #500 (2006) 22 oz. bottle via trade with Buck Dich - Pours a deep brown color with a nice tan head that settles to a thin film. Very light spotty lacing. Has a wonderful bourbon, vanilla, and chocolate aroma. The flavor is much of the same. Taste a lot like an Oaked Yeti. Medium to full body. The alcohol is noticeable, but not overpowering. An excellent beer. Thanks Jordan Silphium (2114), Haslett, Michigan, USA Nov 5, 2006 Bottle via trade. Pours a deep opaque brown with reddish highlights and a thin tan head. Complex aroma with vanilla, buttery oak, cocoa, roasted malts, and coffee. The body is 22 ounces of liquid Cadbury Egg, with layers of vanilla and milk chocolate creating a candy-like palate. Also reminiscent of chocolate sugar wafers. There is an alcohol kick that reminds me that this is a 10.5% ABV beer. Truly a dessert. sunevdj (1764), Copenhagen OE, Denmark Nov 3, 2006 Blind rating, American Beer Tastings at Sk8viking´s. Pours black with a tanned head. Smells very nice of bourbon barrel ageing. TAstes of dark malts and bourbon. Hint of mildew and age. Alcohol and bourbon finish. Very nice. thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Nov 1, 2006 This bottled brew from JSquire at a rating party poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized bubbles that was mostly diminishing and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation black colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was roasted malt toasted malt dark malt bourbon and burnt malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong bourbon aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of vinous dark malt vanilla and bourbon. Delicious and one I would certainly like to try again. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada Oct 28, 2006 Pours full eclipse black with a thick but short lived head. The nose is all bourbon barrel with some dark fruits fighting their way through. Oak, bourbon flavour, alcoholic finish. Somewhere underneath all that bourbon flavour is an impy stout crying to get out. Diappointed. ThomasE (5179), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 23, 2006 Black colour with a small brown head. Roasted malty aroma and taste with notes of dark fruit and chocolate. Dry and sweet finish. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 22, 2006 Bottle. Black body with a medium mocha head. Cheesy aroma, yeast, bread, and alcohol. A mix of bourbon oak flavours and dry fruity oak. Very slow sipper with chalky chocolate roasty flavour and caramel. Finishes dry, bitter, and quite thick.
