[Bottle] This is by far one of the best beers I have tasted in a long long time. The araoma hits you this is not a ordinary brew. The dark black almost jet black color is awesome. Litle to no head but you need a fork to eat this beer. The flavors of chocolate, bourbon, coconut and more are just awesome. A good time sipping beer. Just a truly great bevergae to drink on a cold winters night. Hope to get a few more to store for the future.

Draft at Brouwers in Seattle. Black hole black. Bourbon dominates the aroma. The bourbon taste is strong but with distinct chocolate and coffee undertones. A mouthful but smooth with a wonderful aftertaste of chocolate and coffee. A beer that makes you feel alive. Thus far, my top beer.

2009 Bottle thanks to a bonus by Bitbucket! Pitch black pour, very little carbonation and a huge bourbon and black licorice nose. Flavor is initially sweet chocolate, then more bourbon, vanilla and finished thin and had a slight soy sauce aftertaste. Not bad at all, although I think it would be a little better if the beer was a little more thick and robust.

27th October 2008. Opaque black beer. Thin tan head. A little carbonation. Not as thick as some Impy Stouts. Minerally start blooms in mild vanilla and then smooth bourbon. Dry finish. Very subtle coffee and a small amount of spirit. Very smooth.

Courtesy of After4ever, thanks Tom! It’s pitch black with a creamy, light-brown head. The aroma has notes of bourbon, wood, vanilla and light coffee. The mouthfeel is oily. The flavour has notes of bourbon, wood, vanilla, dark fruits, chocolate, toffee and almonds. It’s a really nice beer, IMO it would be even better if the bourbon was slightly subdued.

22 oz bottle. Pours jet black with a small dense tan head. Aroma is boozy bourbon, chocolate, coffee and dark roasted malt. Flavor is oaky bourbon with bittersweet chocolate and sweet malt. Full body with mild carbonation and a long roast finish. This is a very nice Imp Stout with lots of bourbon flavors and a rich smooth finish. Will return to this one.

courtesy of BA trade extra. pours dark brown, mahogany head. aroma as the beer warmed up the bourbon became quasi overpowering, some chocolate/caramel malts and oak barrel. flavor, this one started off nicely and ended up in a big bourbon mess. Bourbon covers the palate starts mild and becomes a big coating mess as the beer warms up, mixed within is some chocolate that adds some bitterness to the finish and some hops. Beer also feels over-carbonated. Ends too one dimensional with way too much bourbon.
