Pours an opaque brownish black with a persistent rocky brown head. Medium body with light carbonation. Smells a bit like somebody sneaked some whiskey into the brew: oak, bourbon alcohol. Nice roasty chocolate aromas as well. The taste is chocolate, nuts, bourbon, oak, vanilla, dried fruit, and coffee. Dry oak/bourbon/coffee finish. Snojerk321 (2035), San Diego, California, USA

Pours a deep brown almost black with a thin beige/ chocolate head. Great nose of vanilla, bourbon, oak and some roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and dark fruits. Flavor was nowhere near as good as the nose led it to be, very boozy, not bad, just not as good as I thought it would be. cbkschubert (2030), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Very light spotty lacing. Has a wonderful bourbon, vanilla, and chocolate aroma. The flavor is much of the same. Taste a lot like an Oaked Yeti. Medium to full body. The alcohol is noticeable, but not overpowering. An excellent beer. Thanks Jordan AmEricanbrew (2021), Almost, Texas, USA

Taste is the same and its a touch warming. Flavorful, a bit dry, and probably the best Full Sail beer I’ve had. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 2, 2007 RBSG 07. Almost black pour. The nose is almost all BB. A strong aroma of bourbon dominates with a hint of coffee and chocolate as well. The flavor follows suit with the nose. Mouthfeel is solid a very good beer. beerbill (1989), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2009 22 oz. bottle. Pours an opaque black that allows no light to pass through. Very pleasant aroma of bourbon, vanilla, and caramel. The bourbon in the aroma is the flavor itself and not the vaporous alcohol. The flavor is ever-so-slightly metallic with bourbon, caramel, vanilla, and dark fruit. Thin bodied for an imperial stout.
