Thanks. poured a deep dark brown color with just a bit of orange light coming through around the edges. Aroma was of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, molasses, alcohol, and raisin (roughly in that order of intensity). Medium to full bodied and boozy with a warm splash of alcohol. I tasted vanilla, bourbon, toffee, and a dash of cinnamon. The aromas and flavors imparted by the barrel aging dominated, but this was still a decent beer IMO.

Black pour with a thin espresso head. Big bourbon nose. Some oak & vanilla. Thick chewy mouth. Big chocolate notes. Vanilla and bourbon in the flavor. A very nice barrel aged stout.

Pitch black with a thin tan head.
Nose is bourbon forward, dark malts, bitter chocolate, booze.
Taste comprises dark malt, chocolate, liqourice, bourbon.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, light booze in the finish.
No worls beater for this favoured style of mine but decent enough, the alchohol is well integrated.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2013 Bomber from Nathaniel’s. Explosion of scent from this. A good explosion. Brandy, bourbon, chocolate, charred malt. Palate is rich and full, alcoholic, but a friendly sort of way, not hot. More oak, alcohol, velvety mouthfeel, a bit of fruitiness. Well balanced, bourbon and oak and alcohol all in check but all necessary. Appearance is black, not much lacing and dots of retention, and foam recedes quickly.

22 ounce bottle. Pours black with a nice tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, bourbon, and wood. Taste is roasted malt, bourbon, chocolate, wood, and alcohol. Rich and creamy. Nice.

Pours almost black with a very dark tan frothy head. The aroma is cocoa, alcohol, and whiskey oakiness. Its a little creamy and way too smooth. Flavors are mellow cocoa, vanilla, and oaky whiskey. Again, the body is just too smooth. Wow! Some incredible talent went into this one. Most impressive. On the finish, some of the bitterness develops to round things ouy and draw out all the previous flavors.

Bottle share. Aroma is bourbon and dark fruit. Appearance is black with thick tan head. The taste starts out with lots of bourbon and almost dark fruit and lots of dark chocolate. Palate is dry with lots-o-booze. Overall, a good beer. Wish it was blended a little better.

Appearance: Black with thin layer of creamy beige head
Aroma: Vanilla, butterscotch, burnt caramel
Flavor: Very pronounced but not overwhelming bourbon barrel flavor with a great vanilla finish. Creamy, full bodies yet surprisingly drinkable with a wonderful cognac finish.
Overall: If you’re a looking for a textbook bourbon barrel aged imperial stout, this is a shining example.

Bomber poured into snifter. Color is pitch black with a pencil thin, dark tan head that dissipates. Smells of malt, vanilla, a faint fruity sweetness and a heavy dose of bourbon. Taste up front is roasted malt with some vanilla, and the finish is long and boozy with a brown sugary sweetness from the bourbon. It’s odd and definitely unique. Solid.
