Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (grain, husks, malt syrup), lightly hoppy (flowers), with light notes of cement, lemon juice, and apple skin. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation. Berliner Weiss? Huh? More like a batch of golden ale went sour. Very grainy/husky nose, rather industrial smelling (the first sniff made me think of Ukrainian lager, honestly). A drain pour.

Terminus (3253) - Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA - SEP 28, 2012
Bottle-purchased at Davidson Liquors in Littleton, CO SEP 2012-pours lite orange with a small soapy white head. nose is of sweet grains, lite white grapes yet not as tart as this beer needs to be. some stale mash in there as well. flavors are mashed grains, lite sweetness, lite tart sourness with lingering pale grains. well, i must say, its not bad however, not what a berliner needs to be. Cool that this brewery attempted to do this very hard style. Very long finish of lingering wet grains and sharp sourness. Ok not great.

wedgie9 (2004) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 22, 2012
Tasted on 9/21/12 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased at Bottleworks. Pours clear golden with a very thick white head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is almost like a malty pilsner with a touch of sour citrus. The flavor is much more tart with some malty notes underlying. The body is light with fizzy carbonation and a medium tart finish.

Bottle from QFC - Seattle (Ballard)
Hazy golden color, almost no head. Smell of stool and paper, maybe some egg. Light body, light acidity, light breadish flavor; no apparent bitterness.
Not good, difficult to understand what the target was.

RSRIZZO (1855) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - SEP 11, 2012
From a 22oz. bottle poured into a Trappist glass at 42°. Color is bright gold with just the faintest haze and very mellow carbonation that gives a very thin head. Aroma is a light sweet grain scent. It has a light body with a fresh crisp mouth feel. Flavor is also light coming in sweet with a grain and tart with lemon zest. After taste is clean and dry. Overall I thinks its a very well done Berliner Weiss, it has bright fresh flavors.

Bomber poured a clear tarnished gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, straw, lemon zest and earthiness. Palate was light bode and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of wheat, lemon zest and a hint of earthiness with a crisp dry lingering earthy citrus finish.
