a.k.a. Chris’s Summer Delight, an unfiltered, refreshingly tart small batch beer conceived by our own Chris Haveman from 50% wheat malt and just a touch of Hersbrucker hops.

Pours a relatively clear golden straw color with a large white head. The nose has some interesting garbage and vegetal aroma. A light onion note to it. Some bread and straw follow that unpleasantness, as does a bit of lemon peel. The flavor is halfway decent with a touch of lactic acidity, some wheat, lemon peel, and bread. Not so much of the garbage character, but there is a touch of onion and sulfur to it.

Pours gold into a bowl. Bright white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Sour apricot aromas. Dry with wheaty fruit juice upfront turning mildly lactic in the lasting tart marshmallow middle before the bitter pith finish.

Sample I got fizzed like the dickens, but not for too long once I got some into a mug. Aroma has a strong fruity, yeasty overtone with a tart apple note and a woody hint of hops. It pours a slightly hazy solar yellow with a thick, if not too persistent, fluffy white head. Flavor is quite tart, mainly fruity with a hint of malt - drinks more like a cider than a beer, still crisp and refreshing. Texture has average body and fizz. OK, not Full Sail’s best, but a decent effort.

22 oz bottle from "Lifesource" Salem. $4.79. Clear golden brew with a weird yet nice sort of peach color tinge to it ( might be my eyes), large thick, frothy white head. Yeasty aromas.. mainly dough slight barnyard and malts...mostly bread-like. Taste is slightly acetic/tart....then fades off with some bready malt in the back..aftertaste is rice vinegar. Mouthfeel is OK its highly drinkable when its hot and muggy like right now. I wonder if this would go good with some cordial/syrups? As it is its acceptable

Bottle. Pale lager with some lemon sour yeast dumped in. A touch vegetal. Somewhat watery. Dirty dough. Not much of a berliner weiss. Not too great.

22. Pours a slightly hazy burnished dark amber with a loose white head. Pickles and dust on the nose. Creamy medium body, nearly flat. Pickles and dust on the mid palate. In between a mild berliner and a tart one, and doesn’t really gain anything from trying to walk the fence.

Bottle from Whole Foods - Bowery in August 2012, rating 2100. A bit hazy light golden with a medium, fluffy white head. Aroma of "Pommac" (a Swedish soda), citrus, wheat, and some brett. The taste was not as tart as expected. Still refreshing and drinkable. A descent Berliner Weisse.
