a.k.a. Chris’s Summer Delight, an unfiltered, refreshingly tart small batch beer conceived by our own Chris Haveman from 50% wheat malt and just a touch of Hersbrucker hops.

650 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, short duration, white head, over slightly hazy dark yellow (SRM 4) body...........nose is light acid, slight lemon, hints of wheat cereal, toast.....taste is light sour, hints of citrus, finishing sour.....mouth feel light, carbonation adds fizzy qualities. This is a light refreshing beer. It meets the style, but not totally. I’d like a bit more acid kick. BJCP 7/3/13/4/7

22 oz bomber from Spirits Crossroads shared at the golf outing. Poured a dense gold yellow with not much carbonation and a creamy white head. Aroma of light sourness, wet malts, copper. Medium carbonation over a medium to fuller body that finishes almost syrupy. Flavor is the same ad the aroma with light sourness that turns to set malts and finishes with a metallic tinge. This needs to be thinner, more sour or both.

Clear amber yellow with a two finger head quick dissipation. Smell tart acidic, vomit. Taste crisp tart acidic, it reminds me of stomach acid...

Fizzy gold with a light haze - head almost completely diminishes - nose is moderate wheat, light lactic acid, some bready/yeast notes - flavor is crisp and moderately acidic - some sour apple and light white vinegar notes - a bit of dry wheat and dusty yeast on the tail end - simple - somewhat refreshing, but there is a sharpness to the acidity on the end that makes it a touch hard to enjoy that much. (edit - second half of the bottle brings a lot more yeast into the pour, which cuts the acidity significantly - still a bit watery in flavor overall, but not too bad.

Bottled. Yeasts aroma and cloudy yellow pour with white head. Tart but otherwise not quite as flavourful as expected.

Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours blonde with a thick off-white head and a floral aroma. There is a light wheat and pale malt flavor that is slightly sour with a dry more bitter finish. Kind of a strange flavor.

$4 bomber from total wine. 7/29/12 golden orange appearance with a small white head. aroma of cooked lemon, cooked veggies, cabbages, musty wood and mild vinegar notes. the flavor is the same...kinda tart but really mildly so....more musty and dry than anything else...a little papery as well with a light husky bitterness on the finish. crisp carbonation seems to disappear as it sits..odd. not bad, it just lacks some nuance.5/3/6/3/13

Wow! I have no reason why this is scoring so low! Excellent beer (drank right after mowing the lawn which I’m sure helped). Aroma was nice. Tart wheat, lemon and hints of vinegar. Pour was a nice dirty murky gold with a one finger white head. Taste was near perfect. Nice and tart with musty blanket, lemon and vinegar flavors bursting through. Nice strong biting carbonation that unfortunately left a little too quickly. Still, however, this was a great beer that I will buy again if I see it.

Bottle from sam’s. Golden orange with a small white head. Nose of husky wheat, stewed veggies, raw broccoli, plastic, sweet malt, light yogurt--would never guess Berliner if blind. Flavor is a little better, more tart, some Lemon, but still way to husky and not clean at all. Not terrible, but I’ve been raised on Dickinsonbeer Berliners which are among the best I’ve ever tasted.
