COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
a.k.a. Chris’s Summer Delight, an unfiltered, refreshingly tart small batch beer conceived by our own Chris Haveman from 50% wheat malt and just a touch of Hersbrucker hops.

Pours a cloudy pale golden with one finger of white head. Nose is tart and apple-y with some grainy notes. A hint of wet hay and feet/socks comes through but very subdued (compared to others I’ve had....). Very light and dry with a sessionable tartness on the finish. Interesting flavor. Hard to describe, some raw noodle character and a bright apple skin acidity.

22oz bottle. Slightly hazy yellow with a small, fizzy, white head. Aroma of wheat, lemon, peach and light lactic acid. Flavor is tart lemon, lactic, with a light malt sweetness and faint bitterness. Light body with a crisp finish. Pretty nice beer, very light like it should be but with a good amount of flavor.

Honey like nose. Hazy pale yellow. Very mild lactic and tart character. Much lower than expected. A touch sweet for the finish. ---Rated via ws; sp

I love Berliner Weisse’s and in Austin, Texas there are only a handful of ones available, and only during the summer time. The one’s made locally usually have fruit in them. I like this, but I prefer them without. I was glad to find this bomber available (the only other bottled berliner here is festina peche), and for only 5 bucks too! Crisp. Tart. Straw and grass flavors and smells. Lactic, but not heavily so. Delicious!

Pours a light yellow with decent head. Nose is bread, white onions, some grain, and a small bit of yeast. Palate had medium acidity, with flavors of grain, lemon, and some light chemical. Medium dry finish, thin body.

(bottle from Sparky, thanks E!) Pours a clear light gold color with streams of carbonation and thin white head which retains well. Aroma holds plenty of wheat, light funk, must, and apples. Flavor holds some light lemon zest, white wine-esque acidity mixed with mineral water, Granny Smith apple skin, and a healthy dose of wheat on the end which gets slightly buttery in the far finish. Mouthfeel is light and spritzy. This beer was pleasant to drink on what’s been a quite hot and humid day.

650ml bottle, BB Sept 2013. Pours a hazy straw colour, large white head quickly fades to nothing. Aroma is mainly bread, wheat, slight hint of toast, and lemon. Clean lactic refreshing sourness, sweet with hints of wheat & a hint of saltiness. Light body, thin feel, fizzy, lively carbonation. Very dry finish, leaving hints of bready wheat on the aftertaste. Very refreshing Berliner Weiss.

Bottle. I picked up a bomber at the full sail brewery in hood river. I am not well seasoned in the style having only tried a few previously. This had all of the nice dry sourness I expected but it had a faintly metallic taste I found off putting.

22 oz bottle- Pours pale golden with a one finger head that reduces to a thin blanket. Aroma is lemony, grassy, some spice. The taste is thirst quenching, lemon lime, slightly tart, grassy, bread. Body is thin and carbonation is medium. Overall nice summer thirst quencher, nothing much more.

Looks like a pee sample with thick, sea-foam (yellowing white) head that fades quickly. Grain silo, lemon, lemon rind, grass, hay, hint of milk. Body is light with thick, fat (opposite of prickly), frothy carbonation. Flavor is tart, grain, lemon meringue pie w/ thin graham cracker crust, hay. Light lingering tartness with grassy note and hint of dry English biscuit. Very refreshing and yummy.
