3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 gyllenbock (2967) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 26, 2012
Bottle from Whole Foods - Bowery in August 2012, rating 2100.
A bit hazy light golden with a medium, fluffy white head. Aroma of "Pommac" (a Swedish soda), citrus, wheat, and some brett. The taste was not as tart as expected. Still refreshing and drinkable. A descent Berliner Weisse.

pours a clear pale yellow with a small snow white head, and very good lacing.
smell is of corn, wheat, a touch of citrus, and malt.
taste is sour, grain, some hops, malt in the back, and wheat. ends tart and dry, much better with a little bit of raspberry syrup as a Berliner Weiss is meant to be.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 SirLimpsalot (1611) - SWEDEN - AUG 25, 2012
@ Silenzi: ingen större doft men en trevlig frisk syrlig smak med en ton av apelsinsaft. Helt ok som palettränsare.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 improvjock (290) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 23, 2012
Bomber bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with fluffy white head. Aroma is fruity, mostly dominated by lemon, but with hints of grape and pear cider as well. Flavor is light and quite tart, pretty refreshing, though perhaps a tad too sour. Overall pretty good.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 poisoneddwarf (1307) - Rathdrum, Idaho, USA - AUG 22, 2012
Bomber bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Aroma is wheaty, doughy bread, some lacto. Pours slightly hazy gold with a medium white head that falls into a blanket somewhat quick. Taste is nice and tart, lemony, thirst-quenching, salty. Creamy mouthfeel with a thin body. This is definitely perfect for summer. Seems like it would be better suited in a smaller package, though. The bomber is a bit awkward for carrying around to different summer destinations. A six-pack (hell, a 12 pack) of 12 ouncers would go down good at the beach, I think. Nice one.

22oz Bottle, purchased at Kingstown Liquor Mart - North Kingstown, RI. Golden ale, wet cracker, and lemon juice lacto aroma. Reminiscent of fermented hay. Wow. That is tart and fresh. Hmmm. A big part of me suspects this to be a light golden ale fermented with some unmalted wheat and having commercial grade lacto acid added to it. In the back of my mind is an inkling that these farmy, straw and hay-forward flavors indicate true lacto fermentation, but I’m just not sure. The acid comes on hot, fresh, and fast. This kind of has an alco-pop glaze to the whole thing, lacking the nuance of an Old World example. Strange, astrignent tongue-smacking finish. Not my favorite interpretation.

651mL shared at Campdown Brewdown. Poured a clear yellow. Weak head. Nose is a bit poopy with urine. Taste is buttery and lemon. Very slick. Palate is papery, thin. Not really a Berliner Weisse. Very poor.
