A generous amount of Munich and Vienna malts give this beer its copper color and toasty-caramel aroma. German noble hops provide complimentary

Bottle.
Pours a deep amber/mahogany with a nose of malted nuts with bread bits. Flavor is buttery nut with a touch of autumn leaves wettened by the first rain after the temp dips below 50 farenheit. Average mouthfeel. Not bad.

Pours out a beautiful deep copper-brown color with big frothy tan head. Good carbonation and aroma. Flavor is multiple layers of nutty and roasty malts. Some caramel, some toffee. Well balanced and not sweet. Very slightly fruity. Smooth and very drinkable. A very nice example of this often under-rated and under-appreciated style.

Bomber. Pours a deep brown with amber highlights, some head that dissipates after a few minutes. Aroma has notes of caramel, some biscuit and prunes along with a bit of burnt sugar...the combination lending a somewhat muddy flavor to this Alt. The bitterness is fairly neutral which helps to balance the dark-sugar sweetness, however the body leans more toward medium-heavy than medium-light and that gives me conflicting feelings about this beer. @ 5.1% abv this should be a drinkable yet malty alt. I find it a bit heavy and unbalanced, the malt flavors do not quite stand out enough and the bitterness feels like a relative afterthought. OK at best.

22 oz bottle. Clear amber with a small thick beige head. Aroma of caramel, bread dough and herbal hops. Flavor is bready/toasty malt, medium hop bitterness and some sweet caramel. Medium body with average carbonation and a smooth mouth feel. Very good beer for the style.

Bottle. A good looking alt with a copper body and foamy head. Restrained malt aroma. Balanced flavour the German hops shine. Nice finish.

Toast and cereal grain aroma with cherry accents. Clear rust, thin head. Strong bread crust flavor again with cherry notes. Bitingly bitter grass is also present and doesn’t complement the fruity esters very well. Otherwise, this is a nice beer. Very nice malt bill in this one.

Dark copper. Drinks like a bock with hops. Caramel malts and hazelnut flavors on the palate. Firm bitterness on the finish. Well put together.

650 ml bottle from Bev4less. Pours a copper color with a medium off-white head that has fair retention and shows some minor lacing. The aroma is soft with sweet malts, pecans and a bit o’ brown sugar. The taste is similar to the nose with earthy bitter nuts, semi-sweet grains, mild spices and a brown sugar character(but without any real sweetness). The palate is on the lighter side, but seems appropriate for this beer and the carbonation is soft. The finish is medium in duration, very dry, and leaves an aftertaste of bitter walnuts. Overall: Very interesting, and very good, me like.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2012 Bottle... Poured reddish amber, deep red with an eggy, beige head. Nose had diacetyl and some husky grains. Diacetyl not so much in the flavor. Decent carbonation, some sweetness, biscuity, earthy, spicy hops. Low bitterness, clear finish. Low esters.
