3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Syzzer (449) - Oregon, USA - JUL 3, 2012
Mellow balance of malt and slight bitter. Copper in color. Perhaps better after having the beer acquire room temp.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 arondee (447) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - OCT 1, 2012
Pours a dark yeasty brown color with a huge white head and good carbonation. Aroma is caramel sticky malts. The taste is bread, yeast, caramel malts, very little hop characteristics. It’s an OK beer but I’m not a big fan.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ttoadee (357) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 30, 2012
Pours a nice burnt amber with a dense off white head and some slight lacing. Toffee and malt in the nose. Sweet caramel malt at the front. From that point on there is an overriding dryness that just increases all the way to the finish. Slightly oily,"steam" like ending. Nice ale.

From the bottle poured a amber brew with a nice white head. Swet malty aroma. Full bodied malty flavor with a nice easy hop finish.

Bomber. Pours a deep brown with amber highlights, some head that dissipates after a few minutes. Aroma has notes of caramel, some biscuit and prunes along with a bit of burnt sugar...the combination lending a somewhat muddy flavor to this Alt. The bitterness is fairly neutral which helps to balance the dark-sugar sweetness, however the body leans more toward medium-heavy than medium-light and that gives me conflicting feelings about this beer. @ 5.1% abv this should be a drinkable yet malty alt. I find it a bit heavy and unbalanced, the malt flavors do not quite stand out enough and the bitterness feels like a relative afterthought. OK at best.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 jimmie65 (305) - Texas, USA - JUL 4, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 6, 2012 Brown pour, no head, little lacing. Aroma is very light - caramel, grain, mild nuttiness. Sharp bitter, sweet, sour. Some citrus, hops, grain, dark fruit. Lingering finish.
Improves as you drink it.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 camborne (293) - Hopkins, Minnesota, USA - APR 27, 2013
Malt bomb. Malt nose followed by strong malty palate. Just not my thing. Addition of decent hops helps save this one
3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 BeerZack (265) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - SEP 16, 2012
Not the type of balance I was expecting or looking forward to. There is a biting metallic bitterness that prevails throughout.

Copper color pour. Smell is mostly malts. Flavors to follow...malty with a touch of some mild hops. "Nourishing tasting and bitter" says my wife. Hardy beer that is sessionable. Very clean tasting. My first alt, so not much to compare it to. Good brew, nothing special.
