COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A generous amount of Munich and Vienna malts give this beer its copper color and toasty-caramel aroma. German noble hops provide complimentary

Bomber from the Utah State Store on 3300 South. Pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. A sweet Munich nose with light fruit. The flavor is nice and clean: caramel, sweet malts, light bitter hops, light tropical fruit struggling to get through. Very flavorful and smooth. Nice.

(22oz bomber) clear amber, ring of fine white bubbles. Nose of caramel/honey, honey comb, sweet bread, just smells sweet. Taste of light earth, cracker, butter, creamy carbonation.

The beer pours a hazy brown color with a tan head. The aroma is full of toffee malt, with a hint of grass and some earth thrown in. The flavor similar. I get a lot of toffee notes, as well as some grass and ice-tea character. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. I am not a huge fan of altbiers, but this one was pretty good.

Atlanta, Ga. - Tower Beer, Wine & Spirits - 22 oz bomber. Murky dark orange pour, very light off white head clings to the edge of the glass. Aroma is sweet, with some dates and prunes, a touch of banana. Flavor leans to the sweet side of the spectrum with dates and raisins being the most prominent. Pick up some ripening vegetables similar to what one would find in an Oktoberfest. Somey bready yeasty notes round it out. Not feeling it on this one - Full Sail usually impresses me.

Bottle. Dark copper with a short, foamy tan head. Aroma is hoppy and slightly spicy with caramel notes, grains, bread and grassy notes. Taste is caramel, spicy hops, grassy notes, earthy hops, sweet malt and bread. Body is medium with a strong, fizzy carbonation. Finishes with more caramel, grains, bread, sweet malt, soft fruit notes, earthy hops and grassy notes.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body with a one finger frothy off-white head that fell to a wispy film. The nose is pretty full of vienna maltiness with just a light touch of fruitiness and minimal hops. It actually smells a bit old and lightly oxidized, but there’s nothing in the little ’enjoy by’ space allotted to give me this info. The flavor isn’t really oxidized though, but it is a bit overly husky and grainy with a little light roast coffee and burnt caramel. The hops are pretty minimal here as well, with just a light bitterness towards the back end. Lighter bodied with a slightly clingy texture and fizzy carbonation. This one just didn’t do it for me. It’s really hard to find a good Altbier.

Bomber - lightl hazy dark amber - thick tan head that slowly diminishes to a fine lace - nose is caramel, toasted bread, raisin, yeast, light sourness - low carbonation, medium body - Vienna malt is moderately rich from beginning through the middle, but the malt profile becomes more dry and biscuit-like on the tail end - quite a bit of flowery German hoppiness through the middle and finish - some earthy, dusty character - the finish is a little too bitter, but otherwise this is fairly decent.

Bottle to snifter (thanks tmoney99). Looks decent; a transparent brown with thin white lacing. Smells weird; not good, not bad; just weird. Some sweetness and hoppiness in there. Tastes like it smells, but milder (for better or for worse; I’m not sure which). A little thin for my liking, especially for what it smells like. Average (at best) on the palate. Meh.
