3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a mahogany brew with a small tan head from a 1 pint 6 fl.oz. bottle. The armoa was sweet malt and fruit with a hint of spices. The mouth feel was medium with a miles sweetness, some spiciness, and a bit of hops, nicely balanced. Was an enjoyable but not too exciting brew. I guess I had higher expectations, but still well crafted.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark brown. Thin white ring head. Can’t smell much of anything in the aroma. Taste is light for a weizenbock and a little mediciny.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Caramel, herbal aroma. A lot of malt flavor; sweet, brown sugar, raisin/black cherry. Subtle clove aroma and flavor. Not a lot of Hefe yeast character... More like a bock/doppelbock.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 22ounce bomber, thanks to Ed. Poured with minimal head. The yeast profile is subtle, hint of spice and banana. More of a Bock beer than a Weizen Bock. Super malty with minimal arisen character. Very good beer but the name implies something else.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Safeway, Eugene. Pours a reddish brown, very little head. Aroma is really hard to pin down. Candi sugar, raisins, cookie dough? Body slightly syrupy, rich. Finish is kind of a let-down, has a weird off-taste, almost grassy, and would be abrupt were it not for said taste. FS has made some incredible lagers, this just isn’t one of them, interesting aroma or no.
