Classy golden body that fits in like a suit at the Apollo. Nose is floral with strong fruity esters off the yeast. Flavour was slightly soapy with orangeblossom and rose hips.

dark golden amber with small off white head. caramel sweet aroma with a light orange tanginess. medium body and crisp carbonation. rich caramel flavors with a good bitterness. the beer has a pine resin bitter finish. pretty good beer, nothing too complicated, but simple and balanced

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2003 rated 2/7/03 On tap at the Horse Brass. Clear amber body and a creamy white head that diminished quickly, and a lovely hop flower aroma. Tasty light hoppy front with a perfect bitter finish contained by a touch of malt, just the right balance in a pint of bitters. Please note I was informed it is 5.2% ABV, not 4.2% as listed, will have to try to confirm with the brewery.

2006 Brewmaster Reserve - Pours hazy amber (looks like an ipa) with light head. Aroma has notes of sour citrus and hops. Flavor is malt and citrus followed by musky hops. Definitely not a traditional ESB but nicely put together.

Just found this dude lurking around my fridge. Thought I had lost him. Pours a nice amber color. The head didn’t last to long  The smell is very good. The drinkability and mouth feel are both good also. The taste was not quite what I thought from an ESB but is till really good.

Pours amber with a medium white head. Smells very odd yeasty smell of barnyard is present with some molasses notes and floral and grapefruit smells as well. Citrus and yeast flavors come through in the taste. Seems hoppy at first but flavor becomes very yeasty. Very weird ESB not my thing.

Poured a bright orange gold with slightly off-white head. Very strong aroma and flavor of american citrus hops. Slight maltiness though this beer is very dry and crisp. The hop bitterness accentuates the dryness as well as leaving a lasting biter flavor in the back of the mouth. Quite refreshing and showcases american hops very well.

Clear copper body with decent off-white head. Nice aroma is lightly grassy and heavily floral. Flavors of lemon and straw last through the finish.

Surprisingly plain, almost overwhelming bitter taste but not much flavor to back it up. Good looking dark amber color though.

Meh. Dull, uninspired, not much more than a pale ale IMHO. Certainly did not seem to warrant a "special reserve" label.
