Being one of my favourite styles, I had big hopes for this one, but alas, it was not to be- very, very pedestrian.

Bottle from Sam’s. Hazy orange with a small white head. Nose is heavily malted, bread, grain, caramel. Flavor is pretty similar, very sweet for a beer with bitter in the name. This beer sucks. But ill probably finish it because i am poor.

bottle, amber color with no head, some spotty lace and aroma of banana and caramel, flavors are thin, nickel, malt, bitter with a plain finish

hazy tan-orange, thin white ring. Nose is old caramel, candy sugar, underattenuation screaming out, light butterscotch. Flavor is bubblegum, caramel, tea, hope old and sugar too prevalent. Thin, sticky sweet profile with honey down the end.

22oz bottle courtesy of argo0: Pours a clear deep bronze amber with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with a touch of floral and grassy hops. Starts with a biting carbonation and light sweetness with a hint of butterscotch and peppery hop bitterness before a drier, herbal finish. Could be a little smoother and more drinkable.

(22oz bottle, courtesy of thirdeye11) Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, earth, light pine, florals, and minerals. Flavor of biscuit, grass, earth, subtle orange, and minerals.

651mL thanks to argo0. Pours a clear lighter orange with a medium off white head. Suddy lace. Nose is fruit juicy and sugary with margarine and old sugar. Taste is sweet, buttered sweet rolls, mild butter, slick. Mildly astringent palate with thicker buttered rolls.

22 ounce bottle purchased at Pole line Nugget in Davis, CA. The aroma on this is somewhat metallic with light, spicy, herbal hops. A little buttery with some diacetyl is also present. Transparent copper body with a medium off-yellow head present. This beer starts a little metallic, before it becomes a little floral and fruity in the middle. Finishes with intense amounts of buttery, slippery diacetyl. Why the fuck is this beer rated so highly on here, when it is so flawed?
